The restaurant is beautiful inside and it's huge. It was very clean. The service was friendly and fast. We had chicken pesto and chicken Parm. The pesto was good but a little more lemon flavor than I like. Bread appetizer was delicious. Overall it was a good visit. It was pricey for a lunch though. One cocktail, 2 meals, and 1 appetizer of bread was $100. The bartender was friendly and funny.

We tried North Italia for our anniversary dinner and it was lovely. Our server was Ann and she was super helpful and polite. The main dishes we so great and tasty and we were so full at the end that we had to take out half of it. We didn’t like the calamari though, all sources given with it was too sour. Apart from that, the experience was top notch!

We made a last-minute decision to eat Italian after visiting the Capitol building. Everything was reasonably priced for the quality of the food and presentation. The food was really good and hit the spot, but I must say our server Carlos was superb! He enthusiastically answered all our questions and visited the table enough to make sure we were doing well but not enough to be a nuisance. I'm so grateful for his excellent service. My only reason for a 4 star is that the restaurant was quite loud. It is a restaurant, so that's to be expected, it was just a bit overwhelming for me. I did find it odd that only the servers had to wear uniforms, and the bartenders and hosts didn't. That kind of threw off the ambiance and aesthetic.

Lovely dining experience. Been there recently for a cute date night and it did not disappoint. We ordered spicy rigatoni in vodka sauce, chicken parmesan, their famous truffle garlic bread and tiramisu. Everything was prepared fresh and they were very accommodating of any food restrictions as well. Our server helped us guide through the menu for vegetarian and gluten free options. Will definitely give it a try again. Oh did I mention, they have the best tiramisu!!? 🤤The chocolate wafer balls on top were a nice touch.

Food is phenomenal. You can see the kitchen. Place was very clean and nice bathrooms. We were seated quickly at around 2:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday. Party of 6. The service we had was not as good as the food, but that waitress may have been having a bad day. I highly recommend the Strozzapreti Chicken Pesto and they’re breakfast.

Delicious food with great space for big groups. Loved the truffle bread and the cacio e pepe pizza. The white sauce was amazing. Good choice for brunch or lunch. Very close to the lake as well.

Our family ate dinner at North Italia tonight, we had the spicy rigatoni, a couple chicken parmesans, a spaghetti and meatballs, and a cheese pizza; also had an appetizer of cheese garlic bread. It was all pretty tasty and the environment was nice. Our waiter was friendly but felt a little rushed. The chicken parmesan came with a white sauce versus a red sauce which my wife can’t have so we had to wait for a new pasta to come out; wish we had known that as we could have changed up the order when we placed it.

We didn’t have a reservation and got to the restaurant fairly late around 8.45. Even at that hour, they were busy. The hostess and wait staff were kind - we were seated fairly promptly. Our food tasted great. Our server was good with suggestions. Including open to substituting grilled chicken for Italian sausage in the Spicy Rigatoni with Vodka sauce. The food did take just a little long given how busy they were and parking in downtown is a hassle - we paid $16 and in the garage there was two cars with boots on them and constant surveillance to make sure people had paid. We should have just used valet service (so that’s on us - sharing this only as a tip). Overall, we enjoyed our experience at North Italia.

Nice interior. Comfortable seats. Our server was pleasant and attentive. All the dishes I saw on various tables looked good. My spaghetti and meatballs had a good flavor. So….what would it take for me to give 5 stars instead of 4? 1. Make the pasta tender rather than firm. Perhaps it’s more “authentic” to be a bit chewy? I plead ignorance on this. Just sharing my subjective preference. 2. Be less skimpy on the sauce. 3. Serve bread with my spaghetti and meatballs without making me ask. 4. Serve good bread. The bread was average or below. Almost not worth eating. I’m talking about the plain bread, not the toasted and soaked in oil bread in the picture. 5. It was uncomfortably warm in the restaurant 5/13/2023. I’m not dinging them for that. I assume they’re having a temporary problem with the A/C. 6. The Strozzapeti (see picture) was bitter and pungent. I only took one bite. I’m not a white sauce person. My girlfriend is. She said it wasn’t very good. She’s pretty easy to please. The place was very busy. Friday night. Obviously popular. So they’re clearly doing many things right. If my bowl of spaghetti and meatballs had been $12 instead of $20 I might be singing a different tune. I think they’re just a couple of tweaks away from making it worth $20, all else considered, the nice environment and excellent service, etc.

Nice place. Clean and well maintained. Friendly and professional staff. The food is good. The place is lively and has a lot of people. It's quite busy in the evening on Saturdays. I recommend making a reservation. It's casual and easy going. I tried out their non meat pasta and other dishes. They were good. I feel the pasta could be a bit more creamy. The jump start coffee drink is good. Tiramisu was good.

This place is great. The downtown scene is beautiful, and the restaurant was decorated very comfortably. Our waiter was very accommodating and nice. We got the classico board as an appetizer; it was good overall, but the bread was too crispy, and I felt that overall, my enjoyment of it didn't match the price. At our waiter's recommendation, we ordered the pesto chicken and the squid ink pasta. The pesto chicken was SO GOOD. The pesto itself was delicious, and the pine nuts and capers on top were wonderful additions. The squid ink pasta was a little underwhelming. The black pasta tasted like normal pasta, and the calamari lacked flavor. The shrimp and red sauce were both very good and seasoned well. Our waiter took care of our drinks well and got us parmesan and red pepper flakes. Overall, a great experience.

Nice place in the downtown. Wide bar area and friendly staff. I had a reservation(highly recommended) but ended up seating at the bar area. The place is very clean and well maintained. Food is good. I tried Chicken Parmesan and it was just perfect with combination of pasta.

Pizza was amazing, and loved they recommended that I could get half of two, since I couldn't make up my mind. I got the Funghi and Prosciutto. We also had the PROSCIUTTO BRUSCHETTA, which was so good! And the drink I had, the VENI VIDI VIC, was amazing.
