This is a big hidden Gem in Austin for very good & authentic food. I had order the jamaica juice, some fajita tacos and a Tortilla Soup, and to finish it off with a Choco-flan cake. It was so good when I get another day off, I’m coming right back here to have breakfast.
One of the outposts of this local chain that boasts quite a superior selection of tacos with some unusual and excellent ones like goat, which is a beautifully toothsome and earthy meat, the soups are excellent and the seafood soup is perfect with a headily savory broth with a nice mix of seafood that is perfect with a touch of cilantro and diced onion. The salsa bar and good service really kick this place up a notch. If you are in the vicinity early in the day, grab a breakfast taco for sure! It will launch your day well!
We stopped by after a quick search because the one place we found online was not only difficult to find in person but they also ran out of food somehow. We headed to Taco More instead. As we walked in, we noticed a clean restaurant with a choice of eating near the kitchen or a warm sun room. We chose the cooler area and were waited on immediately. We were specifically looking for birria tacos and quickly orders two plates along with ice teas and water. When you want ice tea here, they don't disappoint. You get a LARGE cup and probably for most it's big enough to take the rest with you. We also ordered shrimp soup, beef fajita tacos, and a bacon cheese burger. For our app we order guacamole. The guac was fresh and delicious and their salsa that came with the chips were crema and a chili type salsa. Both delicious and spicy. The shrimp soup came with fresh slices of avocado, tortilla chips, and a homemade broth. You never know what you'll get at some restaurants but I was so pleasantly surprised that they have their own homemade soup full of flavor. My son did not say a single word while he ate his fajita tacos. He was so happy with them. The burger was ooey gooey with cheese and looked so good, not like some reheated frozen burger or anything but rather they took the time to make it their own. And our birria tacos? Well, WOW. Amazing. Dipping into the sauce only enhanced them with the chopped cilantro and onions. Perfecto! The waitress was so attentive and sweet. We definitely found our home for homemade Mexican dishes and tacos. This is not some bland Mexican place with your typical sauces and bland meats. Instead, every dish is full of flavor and freshness. And get this, their rice was steaming fresh and glistening instead of dried rice made hours prior. We can't wait to go back!

*Great food*, nice ambience, and general happiness.
This is one of *those* places, present throughout the city, catering to locals, serving honest, authentic, mexican food, and disseminating happiness to all and sundry.
There are two locations - Rivierside in the south, and Parkfield in the north. You're more apt to get a purely hispanic crowd at Riverside, though at Parkfield you'll get a lot more fo the north austin/domain/UT crowd.
Either way, the food is really really good.
• The tacos are *excellent*. Go for the cabeza, chicharron, or lengua if they have them. If not, everything else is good too, but these are off the charts
• The birria (goat/chickpea soup) is destination worthy, and tastes of CDMX
• The salsa bar is loaded, and delectable. Beware the orange one tho'!
• Beers available, as well as a variety of non-alcoholic stuff (horchata, jamaica, etc.)
So, go, and be happy!
Always great food. This has been my go to spot when I want Authentic Mexican food. 😋😋😋
Food was delicious, went by real early so place was empty. Clean restrooms good barbacoa and menudo. Best place i've been to in austin so far. (Careful with the penut salsa it's HOT!) 👌👍
Best authentic Mexican food I've had in a long time. Great prices and hardly any wait. If you haven't tried their quesabirria plate then you're missing out. Loved it and we'll definitely be coming back..
Fast service, friendly people. We get food there at least once a week, sometimes twice a week. I always go in and place our order then sit inside while I'm waiting. Earlier in the week my husband went in for the 1st time. When he had placed our order, the young lady he had spoken to said, "I know who this is for!" It's fun when restaurant personnel recognize you not only from your face, but by your order! My husband always gets their beef fajita plate and loves it. I've gotten the cheese enchiladas, the Cubana torta, the stuffed pepper and the tostados at one time or another and have never been disappointed. Lately I've stuck to the tostados. I highly recommend!!!
Good tacos and salsa! Fast and friendly service. The menudo was flavorful but i wish it had hominy, would have been perfect.
Head beef plate is what I always order.
Good price, food and service
I have been customers Over 12 years and the service is great , comida chingona!!!
Pretty good food here. I wouldn't say it was anything special but you can't go wrong with any plate here for authentic Mexican food. The birria tacos are exceptional 👌 give them a try.
So happy my friends and I stopped by! The pozole and consume de cabrito we're delicious. Next time I'm stopping by I am hitting up this spot for a repeat visit
