Glad I finally made it out to this spot! They have a great menu of tasty cocktails! The Paloma was so refreshing and just the perfect amount of sweet. We came in whenever they still had the brunch menu out and ordered off of there. They have a couple of different menus throughout the day and they all have great food and prices! I got the pork dumplings and they were to die for! I honestly wish I would've ordered something else off the menu but we were bar hopping and I didn't. They were amazingly crispy and so flavorful! My friend kept talking about how delicious the noodles are off the happy hour menu. I hope to be back soon to try it. My one complaint was that service at the bar, where, we sat, was pretty slow. Can't win them all, I guess! I'll be back so. Very. Soon.

This bar gives off an Austin vibe outside and a Miami one inside. Eclectic bartenders mix drinks that are decent but not spectacular. The painted walls inside and partial skylight roof are nice touches, so is the projector with anime and movies. Make sure you check out the plant life just outside where butterflies flit freely around you!

Love the pink lights!! The drinks are always so well made, my thanks to the devoted bartenders. I got the chicken sandwich and it was so good. Quite spicy!! The cheeseburger was super tiny but i heard it was good and kinda like in n out

Birthday Brunch at the place was the bomb!! My brother picked it out from my list of Want to go places. It was not a disappointment. I really loved the freshness of the chips too, it really uped the Chilaquiles!

Amazing diner place! If you are bored of traditional Texan food this is the place to go. As a french person i could argue this restaurant was very close to European cuisine and fine plates ! Highly recommend!

Awesome staff. Great service, solid burger (one of my new best of ATX) great drinks, new and excellent staple for our East side nights out. Looking forward to getting back to my local resort!

I really liked this bar. The staff was really friendly and the drinks were tasty! I had a very nice conversation with one of the employees outside about their drinks. Worth trying! Bar of the year last year.

We reserved a table for 7 plus a baby with an egg allergy and had a very good experience. The service was excellent and everyone was genuinely friendly. The food was good and our waitress was very accommodating about our baby's egg allergy. The atmosphere is pleasant and calm, good music too. The portions weren't huge but I actually liked that. Had the hash and it was tasty.

This place is delicious. Their menu is very unique, but everything I try is really good. With that said, their staple pretzel bites are definitely a must get. The drinks are good too. The staff is always really friendly, and the ambiance is delightful. Not too loud, fairly private. And a nice covered patio, as well.

Eleanor the bar tender made perfect drinks! Angelica the table server was so nice and quick to make sure we were all taken care of. Great spot to grab drinks and/or a quick bite to eat the noodle bowl was my favorite. We tried multiple food items and everything was delicious. The lighting is low and makes great for a date spot too.

Great ecclectic menu with lots of options for vegetarians. The whipped feta appetizer was a favorite, and the goat gnocchi was also great. Happy hour on cocktails before 7pm! Prices were not the best but the food is fresh and well plated. Service was great.

Quick review. Loved the food and the scotch cocktail. The chicken to share meal was succulent and grilled. I don't know how they did it without drying it out, but they did. The carrot hummus was great.

I went here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and it turned out to be one of the best nights we've had in a while. The interior of the restaurant is a great mix of rustic and sleek, which allows it to transition seamlessly from a casual after-work drink with friends to a romantic night out with your significant other. And I haven't even mentioned the food yet! The sea bass was truly one of the best tasting dishes I've had in my life and the other dishes we ordered (octopus, mussels, and steak) were just as mouthwatering. I absolutely recommend this place for any occasion.

I came for a business dinner with a group of 7 people on a Tuesday night and everyone agreed it was an impressive experience. The patio/bar area is separated from the main dining area so provided a nice atmosphere for casual conversation while we waited for all of our party to show up. Once seated, you are brought back to the dining area, which feels very intimate. The architecture and interior design is refined, not flashy, and the service is understated and elegant - there when you need them but otherwise in the background. This provided a nice platform for getting to know the group we were in and I would definitely go back for a date night or another event where you want to enjoy quiet conversation. Last but not least, the food was very well executed and flavorful. I really enjoyed the brussel sprouts and cabbage with duck confit starters, and tried both the root vegetable and gnocchi mains, which were both excellent. Prior to going, I had seen some reviews that were concerned about the prices & portion size. I would say that you should check the menu before making plans to go and know what to expect. The plates are more "bites" than Texas sized platters of food, and the experience is very intimate and understated. Bottom line: Gardner is about an intimate, carefully crafted dining experience, and they execute superbly across the food, drinks, and service - I will go back.

Excellent service. Small menu. Interesting appetisers, small pages and Mains which area nicely presented. We tried the smoked trout, shared half a chicken. The goat gnocchi was a real surprise and incredibly tasty all finished off with the delicious brownie.

Edit: I wrote this review about Chicon, the previous establishment at this location. I haven't been to The Last Straw yet... This place is great. It can be a little pricey, but happy hour specials make it good deal. The atmosphere is appealing and the staff is on point. The bartenders are skilled at their craft, and turn out works of drinkable art. Everything I've eaten here has been delicious, and all the bar snacks are discounted during happy hour. On my short list of great places to start an evening.
