Had a great afternoon this past Saturday! Awesome beer---there wasn't one that we didn't like-- informative brewery tour, friendly staff, and a fun atmosphere! Will definitely be back and would highly recommend!!
They have to have great beer! I deliver the best ,top quality organic 2 row grain to them. And very friendly people to deal with.
These guys have brewing of dark beers down! We tasted several varieties of dark ales, porters and a stout that were all quite good. As usual their yearly batch of barrel aged porter was awesome as well. This event was well staged with music, food trucks, and great environment for both beer fans and their dogs. We had a great time.
512 brews some of the best beer in town. Making a visit might get you a taste of one of their special offerings. Smash on rainier cherries was fantastic!
The staff at 512 are doing great things for the craft scene in Austin! They have their brewery tours/tasting on Saturdays and it is so much fun. Great atmosphere, awesome people, and amazing beer!
This is the second time we have made it out here and it has yet to disappoint. Delicious beers, great atmosphere and good value. We always enjoy their pecan porter, dubbel and seasonals!
Had a great time at 512 Brewing Co. Great people, very helpful and easy to talk to. Would (and already have) recommended to any level of beer drinker from the casual to experts. The team at 512 is delightful and the beer is superb!
hands down as a bartender this is my most requested beer, and best selling. :)
Okay, I work here. That being said I sought out (512) beers long before I even moved to Austin. The IPA and Pecan Porter are great. On top of that, I now see the work that goes into sustainable brewing practices and the emphasis on local products. Definitely the best beer in Austin.
Great beer and the new Double IPA is fantastic! Friendly staff too!
great beer and even better people make 512 THE best brewery in Texas
Very friendly staff. We just missed closing time and they still poured us samples to try and took time to chat. Shortest stop on our brew tour but by far the best.
Great beer. Tour led by the owner and the brewer. Awesome experience. Highly recommended
Great people, very nice, good one on one time with the creator and owner. Great beer!
Their beer is excellent! they use organic ingredients😋
Love this place. The beer is amazing and the people are friendly, informative and helpful. This is a company with a lot of heart. They care about their people, their product, and the environment. I highly recommend taking the tour they offer. We had a great time visiting them last weekend. And be sure to try the pecan porter it is absolutely amazing!
Loved the tour and of course the beer samples of the fresh brewed beer! Ryan and James really knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions. Thanks!
I didn't visit the brewery but I tasted a lot of beer while in Austin and always came back to 512 IPA! great, mello, IPA, if you bottle it ,send some to San Francisco Bay Area
I’ve been chasing craft beer all across the state of Texas and this place is an absolute delight/gem.
The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was great. Warm and inviting.
The beer…spot on. I had Pilsner and Kolsch. Both were on par with some of the best local beers
They cant legally serve their beer traditionally. Beer pours are done with "tastings" with tokens but it's super efficient. Beer is awesome and staff/ brewers are really friendly. When I visited, the brew warehouse was open to public to see and there was plenty of outdoor seating.
The place is small, and nondescript. This is NOT a brew-pub. Its a brewery that just happens to sell beer to the public and has picnic tables. As long as you've got the right expectations in mind, you will have a great time. I was there on Saturday, had the IPA, and the juicy IPA, bith delicious. Sat in the sun and enjoyed random conversation with strangers. Couldn't ask for more, so long as you know this isn't a restaurant.
Great selection of beers, very friendly/Knowledgeable crew members! Highly recommended if you’re into Hazy IPA’s!
Just moved into the neighborhood and checked out the brew tour and live music today. Excellent beer, cool food truck options and friendly folks. Big win.
Great place to chill with great brews on tap.
**DISCLAIMER** 512 Pecan Porter Is my most favorite beer of all time, so this review might be slightly skewed.
For me, this was like going to Mecca; and I was not disappointed. The staff was super friendly (The gift shop cashier even reopened so that I could buy a gift for my wife since I was in trouble for being here so late). The fellas pouring the beer was happy to discuss the different types and their qualities, they even came around outside to inform us of last call (very cool of them since we bought a lot of tokens). The environment was super chill. I'll definitely be back soon!
Been to a lot of microbreweries and these guys are among the best. Cool place, informative tour and very generous with their great beers. We stood by the bar during the first part of the tour and they kept pouring us full pints (versus tasting samples) as part of the tour. I don't get to Austin often, but I'll definitely stop by again on my next visit!
The beers here really can’t be beat, especially the stouts. The tasting option is generous, and the staff are friendly. The location itself is pretty no-frills. There are some picnic tables in the parking lot to enjoy your cold brew at. You are truly at their working brewery, and there’s not a lot else to the place. Great beers and a low key afternoon!
I discovered the Pecan Porter a few years ago and have wanted to visit the brewery ever since. I finally got a chance to go and it did not disappoint. All of their beers including the Pecan Porter is fantastic. The staff was friendly and took the time to chat with all of the patrons. Great little set up outside of the brewery under the trees away from the hot Texas sun. I highly recommend that you make a trip out here- it is worth it!
Fantastic beer and quite the brewery experience. A very personable experience. The bartenders were very friendly and awesome people. Last time I was in Austin I only went to St Elmo (also good beer) and didn’t make it over this way and I definitely missed out. If you only have time for one, (512) is your spot.
