Fantastic Hotel! The staff is great. Rooms are very nice with super comfortable beds. There is a great restaurant connected as well. There is also a upstairs, bar with outside balcony overlooking the action on the streets.

Try the breakfast it's delicious. Def would stay again . If you decide.. You will not be disappointed. This hotel is amazing .

Our son gave us a trip to Austin for the Paleo f(x) conference and reserved rooms for us here at the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin for the duration. We had a beautiful corner room, very plush and well thought out. Having an extra couch and ottoman, an extra chair, plenty of room and wraparound windows made for a very pleasant stay! I also appreciate the quick response of the hotel concerning a mistaken charge to our room. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to much of downtown - including the bridge with the bats!
They upgraded our room when they found out we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Thanks Veronica! Plus the bartender Brandy surprised us with a creme brulee and candle. She thanked us for spending our anniversary with them! They made our stay even more special!

Signed up for a trip thru Pack Up & Go, and this was the hotel that we were booked in. We have never been in a hotel this fancy - one with room service and a mini-bar! Everything was awesome and it was definitely fun to stay in a place this swanky at least once in our lifetime!

This time staying at SFA and it is now my favorite hotel! Beautiful facility and the attention to detail was outstanding. The bar was great as well. The front desk needs additional staffing - the employees were friendly and helpful, but one person behind the registration desk is not enough. Don’t cut costs with guest service!
The hotel was fabulous as was the staff and food.
Great ambiance and views from the terrace. Bartender knows how to concoct a proper cocktail and is quite personable. Highly recommend the Desert Rose and the Austin Mule; both had an interesting twist.
Stephen F’s is a bar in a Sofitel hotel on 7th st in Austin. Nicely appointed in an old fashioned kind of way, the drinks were good, and of reasonable size. Service was good at the bar, nonexistent at the tables. There is a nice balcony off the bar with seating. An enjoyable experience.
I loved this location. Its not too busy, drinks were good and the bartenders were very nice. I recommend you sit on the patio, which is located just above the street level where you will have a nice view of Congress Ave and the Capital just down the road. If you decide to sit inside, you will get a nice, quiet atmosphere perfect for those looking to relax with friends and have a few drinks.
Great handcrafted cocktails by the bartender. Knowledgeable and very friendly. As a Hilton Diamond member I will be staying here on my next visit to Austin because the fantastic bar. 5 star and top shelf quality and service. Salud.

I’m so shocked and upset with myself for not finding the gem sooner! I’ve even stayed in the hotel and never knew it was there. Literally a cigar and cocktail perfect gem of a spot the service was OUTSTANDING and personal. They put the details and personal touch in their service and cocktails!!!!
Probably the best part of Intercontinental Austin. Weather was perfect during our stay, so we spent a lot of time here.

Great atmosphere above the Intercontinental hotel. Nice and quiet retreat from the city and a bit more upscale from the rest of the bars in the area without being over priced. The terrace has an area that was around from Congress to a side street and it's high enough up that the roar of the city it dampened well enough to have a conversation without yelling over background nose. Service is a bit in the slow side, but the drinks were good quality and the food was reasonably priced. Unfortunately, I can not comment on the food, as they were in the process of changing the menu. Will definitely be returning.
Great place to relax and have a drink
Beer was $6 a pint for local beer. Feel like that's fairly priced in downtown Austin. Drinks were around $12. Love the history or the old building with beautiful updated decor in the bar. Light fixtures give it a nice ambiance. Enjoyed myself here and would recommend it.
Love this place! When in Austin, stop by. They have cigars for purchase and a terrace to sit outside and enjoy them. Great service and talented mixologists.
On the second floor of the historic Intercontinental, this is a definite recommend!
I really enjoyed this bar & restaurant. You can have a drink or an appetizer and even smoke a cigar on their outdoor patio, which is convenient. I highly recommend this place to you if you're in downtown Austin.
There for an event, and I must say, EXQUISITE! Everything from the exterior of the building to the interior is finely detailed, creating a historic, yet modern ambiance. The staff is very friendly, and were very accommodating to our needs. I loved every bit of my visit... and will definitely go back again soon
