I have eating here many a time,good service,friendly people/family,have friends associated with this place. Their food was very delicious.

Went there for lunch. Had a Carne Gisada and Carnitas on flour. Flour tortillas are a bit too thick for my liking. Fillings were fine. Nothing special, but not bad.
Really good chips and salsa actually ticked this up a bit. Will try again for breakfast tacos.
Every time I am in Austin it is a must to dine there, frequently. Genuine family establishment in the trendy South Congress Ave area. Have not had a bad meal there yet. Not over the top in fancy decor....you know the saying, "if the locals eat there".....This is one of those places.

Found this place on accident but we always say trust the smaller places they are usually the best. Food had so much flavor, did not disappoint. Service was a little slow but all in all worth a try if you haven't been.
Their salsa is fresh and spicy hot and served with warmed chips. I come for lunch break. Fast courteous service without slack on food served fresh and heat hot. When temps get warmer I would love to try their fresh margaritas and sit outside on their front patio area.
Caught my attention at red light.Stopped in and found a delightful resting stop . LMR has been around Austin almost 30 years .By the layout I’m guessing more than a few wedding receptions may have been held here . Owner waited on me and could not have been nicer .
We stopped for breakfast tacos this morning and were impressed! They offer a large number of options and all were good. Soft tortillas, crisp bacon, fresh eggs, refried beans, and they didn’t skimp on the cheese. Throw in an avocado and a little salsa and you’ve got breakfast. One of also ordered a pancake and it was large and fluffy. Did I mention the price? Most of the tacos were under $2. Good service, although we could have used a coffee refill.

I started with the classic guacamole and chips, and it was absolutely divine. The guacamole was freshly made, bursting with flavors of ripe avocados, tangy lime, and a hint of jalapeño heat. The chips were crispy and had just the right amount of salt.

We're from Houston and there is no doubt in my mind I'm hitting this place up every single time I come back to Austin. Delicious!!!!
I ate the Menudo it was okay a little bit salty for my taste nevertheless it came out hot and fresh they were really busy so it took a while to get it. But the live music and the dancing was definitely a highlight of this place apparently on Sundays need frequently have bands. Friends / food/ music, this is probably a winning combination anywhere as you go. We had a pretty good time. I would definitely recommend this place for celebrating or just getting together and listening to some good music while you eat in a Gathering of a group of people.
Looking for a real authentic Mexican restaurant with food that grandma used to make, this is the place. You just have to try it to find out. Took me home.
Rotating daily lunch specials keep it affordable. The salsa was really spicy and the chips are a nice in-between delivery device. They were flexible with making my entree vegetarian. The enchiladas were delicious as were the beans and rice. The atmosphere is warm and homey with the owner walking around checking on tables. It was lovely and I would go back anytime.

My first time to visit on a first date. A "hole-in-the-wall" type of restaurant. It was a very quiet, clean, simple place with great tasting Mexican food. I had pork tips with red sauce, rice, frijoles a la charra, lettuce & tomato on the side, with tasty guacamole as an appetizer. The salsa and chips were spicy, crispy and delicious. It was a very good first date too! 02-02-19
