Prices are high which is understandable as this is located in the luxurious Kimpton hotel. Service is friendly and the ambiance is very nice. I do wish the menu was a little bit bigger with more fresh / hot items, very limited selection as it is currently. Free drip coffee or tea in the morning here for all guests staying at the hotel as well. The fries $5 were delicious and made really well, they also come with these cute mini glass ketchup bottles which are nice. Chips and Salsa for $8 is an extremely generous portion of Salsa for the chips.

This is a coffee review….and the coffee here is great! Shots, or Americano, or latte. It’s all specialty - third wave coffee. Opens at 6 too, which is great. Pleasant music (fleet foxes style)…5-star for sure from this traveler.

Cafe 605 is a great stop to get a drink and a snack. Hey serve both breakfast and lunch there. There is nice seating to take a nice quiet break from walking around from the busy Rainey Street.

Nice offerings of drinks (coffee, juices, sodas, even beer on tap!), breakfast and lunch basics with a clean and cozy environment. Nice and respectful employees also!

Stayed at the VanZant and although there's complimentary coffee for guests, the Oatmilk Latte was so good. The staff I encountered were friendly, and it's nice to have access to this from the hotel. It's not a large space, though, so not an area I would be able to work from as I'm easily distracted, but it may work for others. I also had a chocolate croissant and a breakfast taco that were pretty much what you could expect from any coffeehouse.

Good coffee and tasty breakfast tacos. But, you’ll have to deal with some snootiness, both on the part of the staff and patrons. To be expected I suppose given the café’s location in a snooty section of Austin.

So grateful for the insanely generous hospitality of Cafe 605 + Hotel Van Zandt during the CoVid pandemic. They are always kind, loving, and compassionate to their customers. I especially enjoy the high-caliber friendliness and service from barista Justin. Every customer is taken care of. The Ambience is wonderful and conducive for reading, chatting with a friend, or pulling out a laptop and getting work done. Highly recommend.

It was convenient for grabbing a bite to eat in the morning and late evenings. Have to give a shout out to Micheal who was working the evening shift. Very friendly and helpful, he helped me make some good food choices. Enjoy Austin.

Coffee and service is exceptional, especially for a hotel cafe. Would recommend as it’s a quick drop in!
