I’m not sure why I haven’t reviewed this place yet. I order lunch from here (sesame chicken 🤤) and I have a big birthday party every year and have catered from here 2 years in a row!!! It’s a family owned business, their daughter Tiffany helps me order for my party every year, the mom and dad (chef) are really nice. My usually for lunch is sesame chicken. For my party, I usually order sesame chicken, egg rolls, fried dumplings, walnut shrimp, beef and brocolli, fried rice, lo mein. People especially loved the lo mein, walnut shrimp, and sesame chicken. One year I picked it up and this year I decided to pay the delivery fee of $15. The food is hot, delicious, they are accurate in their order, very communicative. They provide extra sauce for me and I just love the food so much. I also ordered a huge tray of egg rolls one time for a company pot luck and people kept asking me where I got it from. Thank you China Palace!!! 😊😊😊
I’m not sure what bit of luck drew me to this restaurant, but the unassuming facade doesn’t hint at the magic inside! Round, lacquered archways and ornate tables, 1970s era buffets, unused since the onset of the pandemic, and best of all, a fully stocked tiki bar. This place reminds me of restaurants that I used to go to as a kid in New York City’s Chinatown: This is a space built long before today’s designer dinning experiences, but it’s still charming, if a little worn, and it was clearly designed by someone with imagination.
The food isn’t fancy, but it’s hot and fresh. I had the Happy Family dinner special—for the modest price of $12.95 you get a 3 course meal, complete with soup, eggroll, rice and main course. My dish had chicken, shrimp, beef, and imitation crab meat with a healthy serving of fresh, crisp veggies, smothered in a tangy brown sauce. It was delivered to my table piping hot by the restaurant matriarch, who’s family has been running the place for the last 20 years (the decor goes back even further). When I visited on a Wednesday night, it was just me and an endless run of to-go orders. I was assured that they still get a decent lunch crowd, but I’d argue this is a place for family dinners, or even a romantic night out. With so much of old, quirky Austin disappearing so fast, I highly recommend a visit to this gem—so it doesn’t fade away with everything else that makes our city so great!
Amazing customer service! I was sick when I came here to order egg drop soup, salt and pepper chicken, and combination fried rice. The lady was so so sweet and the salt and pepper chicken was AMAZING! Portions were large so it was worth every penny. My only tiny gripe was I didn’t enjoy the egg drop soup, but that’s okay because I’m super picky about my egg drop soup. I don’t like corn or any veggies in it or for it to be super thick. Green onions and wonton crisps are always good though. Will DEFINITELY come back. I’m craving that salt and pepper chicken so bad
I have driven by this place so many times. Wonderful food!!! The lady running it is so nice and patient. This is most definitely my new Chinese food spot!
Ordered lunch for pick up, it has been a while but I have always enjoyed the food here. Very friendly service, my food was ready for pick up on time and very quick, and it was delicious and filling. Today it was the sweet and sour chicken, and bbq pork fried rice. Enough for lunch the next two days leftover. What else can you ask for? Way better than waiting in a drive thru for panda or paying more for less.

Excellent Chinese food. Big portions and piping hot. Staff was awesome!
Go to for American style Chinese in the area. Food always tastes great and big portions to boot. I've tried half the menu at this point and they really do flavor the food well. Super nice owner always smiling too. Don't let the outside decor fool you, try the food!
I've been dining since 2016. The owners husband makes the best American Chinese food in the area. I highly recommend first time diners to the Chef's Special menu. Since the pandemic the restaurant is no longer buffet or glamorous but I assure that you will enjoy your food and service worth every dime.
My favorites: Combination Egg Foo Yung, Crispy Honey Chicken, Combination Fried Rice, Happy Family, and basically everything on the Chef's list. Yummy! 😋
Excellent food! Got the sesame chicken with a side of fried rice and veggie egg rolls.
All of the 5 dishes we ordered were very good, fresh, and served hot and ready to eat in a nice timely manner. The wait person was extremely nice, funny, and very quick with fun banter. Would go back.
All the food was very tasty and served in a nice calm atmosphere. I'd say a Good dining experience.
I'd say Mid Priced $$
The menu is available for you to judge prices 👩⚖️ 👨⚖️ Enjoy
I finally found my go to! I’ve yet to have a bad experience with anything they make. No matter how I’ve ordered it always comes piping hot, freshly cooked and exactly as ordered. The shrimp rolls are the best in town hands down! The sauce for the crab Rangoon isn’t like anything I’ve had anywhere else around the country and it’s so addictive! I keep the menu close by and ordering delivery directly from the store is so quick and easy and it always gets here quicker than they say it will!
I can’t speak any higher of their food it’s so delicious and they’ve got a regular customer from me! I can’t wait to try everything they make!
The decor is the only thing holding this place back. Otherwise, for the price, the food was excellent, and the service was fantastic.
Service is always excellent and the food will keep you coming back!! The best hot and sour soup in town!!
I had Shrimp Lo Mein and he had Combination Fried Rice. Both dishes were served fresh and hot. The customer services was Great and the price was affordable.
Omg diamond in the rough excellent food excellent service will be a regular spot for us I love love this place
Best general tso in town and run by a sweet Taiwanese family. Also their elusive in store pink page menu isnt online. You'll have to call in to order items from it.
I discovered this place because I had wanted to try some egg foo yong after many years of not having had it. I went to the place…and let's just say I'll be going back to enjoy egg foo yong many more times :-)
