This is one of our neighborhood bars. When I want chill, this is where I go. I love the quality of the drinks and variety as well. If you want a froufrou drink, they got it. If you want beer & a shot, they got it. Iโm not a fan of the music they play but honestly I donโt care! The drinks and vibe are what I come for!

Great location for hanging out before taking the bus/train home since the Crestview Station is about a 7-10min walk.
Fantastic spot for a nice drink and a casual but elevated hang. They have a drink for everyone, cheap beers, a couple craft options, good cocktails and some solid wine selections. It's small inside, but cute and welcoming. Picnic tables outside under a beautiful tree with string lights complete the ambiance. We love stopping in for a nightcap.
My first time here, a random pick as I'm not local. Happy with the choice though, good drinks at reasonable prices. Very small inside but tables outside make up for it. No food which was the only downside.
The reason you go to a bar is for the atmosphere. Long Play has it in spades. The outside is set up with a handful of picnic tables all spaced out, so you aren't talking over the people next to you. There's a watering station for your pups if you want to bring them, and when the wind hits just right, there is the faintest smell of Fabuloso in the air. Inside is even better. It's lit for anonymity unless you are behind the bar. There's a full time dj spinning literally everything. Literally. The drinks are great too. They have over a dozen signature cocktails and a special or two to boot. If you're looking for a hole in the wall with tasty drinks Long Play is one of the best.
Lovely little watering hole. The menu boasts Expertly mixed cocktails alongside your favorite beer+shot combo. Very low key easygoing vibe and while they don't serve food, outside food is welcomed.
Recently moved to Austin and was looking for a cool hang out when I got here. I googled cool Austin bars and The Long Play Lounge came up. Google was not wrong. This an awesome little joint. Interior is cozy and they have plenty of outdoor seating. The bar staff are very friendly and even offered suggestions for a few other cool bars around the area. They have a pretty decent old fashioned on tap although i usually drink my whiskey straight. The music Playlist is awesome. If you're in town visiting, new here, or just haven't experienced The Long Play Lounge yet, you should.
Hidden gem, great place for a quiet coupleโs date. The outside is unassuming and lacking in any character, the inside is a total 180, with a creative list of cocktails, beer and shooters for the uncreative, soft-lighting, candles, and vinyl playing in the background. Come early. There were only two barstools and perhaps one dozen chairs in the place (more seating outside, but again, the outside lacked โcharacterโ).
Great atmosphere and drinks. Much recommended. Great whiskeys and draft beers.
This place is really cute! Service was great and fast. The inside area is not very large but it's cozy and makes you want to hang there for a while.
They have a ton of records, and if you're nice they might play what you ask for, if they have it.
I really like how they did the inside.. And the outside has a lot of seating to hang and enjoy the weather.
Their drink menu is bomb and I had three very well made drinks! Try one.. Or three. :)
If I lived north.. I would probably live here but I'm sure I'll be back.
