This is becoming my go-to for Vietnamese food in Austin. They have a good selection of dishes that you may not be able to find at other pho places. I've been here twice when I had cravings for hu Tieu nam vang and they did not disappoint. The broth was flavorful, noodles cooked well and portions are generous. I'm definitely coming back to try their other noodle specials and varieties.
I have been to Duy a handful of times and every time was amazing. Unfortunately I've only tried the bun there but it's so delicious I can't bring myself to order anything else. Perfect portions, tender, juicy meat, and fresh vegetables. The staff is friendly and relaxed and I love the bright atmosphere that the huge windows provide. Good prices as well. 7.50ish for a filling portion with lots of meat.
Overall the flavors were wonderful and everyone was happy. I got the Szechuan chicken which could have used some Szechuan peppercorns but was otherwise fantastic. Our waiter was very nice and certainly attentive. To top it all off three of us ate for under $40 after tip. I will definitely be back!
One of the best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to. The food was super delicious and fast to come out. The prices and very reasonable and the selection is very wide. I've never been disappointed once going here. The wait staffs are very helpful, friendly and full of hospitality. I highly recommend this place and for sure will be back very soon.
One of my favorite lunch spots in North Austin! Their staff is always very friendly and attentive. They do a great job with their tofu/veggie dishes; always flavorful, the vegetables steamed just enough and the tofu has a good texture.
This place was better than the other restaurants we have tried in Chinatown. The bathroom was nice and smelled good, the cold water was great. The food was OK, the egg drop soup had an orange coloring which might be good for UT students.
Huge portions, authentic food, beautiful presentation.
Egg Drop Soup: Thicker than expected, very flavorful, heavy of the egg.
Crab Rangoon: OMG so good!
Broccoli Beef with Fried Rice: Pretty standard, nothing amazing.
Rice Noodle Beef Meatball Soup: wow! delicious! Ordered the small, bowl was huge! would definitely eat again!
Yummy Vietnamese staples, great to go for a chill delicious dinner. Vegetarian options available. Loved everything about the place, will be back.
Prompt and attentive service, too!

My whole fambily loves this place near us in the China Town off N Lamar blvd! My mom's fav has to be the crispy noodles with brown sauce over the mixed veggies and chicken? Or is it pork? I get one, my mom gets the other! Both have been SOOOO good! The food comes out from the kitchen SO fast too& nice big portions! It all seems fresh made & everything we've all tried (between my mom, dad, lil sister, boyfriend & myself) has been great! Easily my parent's fav new place to find that crispy noodle dish, plus it's so close-by.. I can usually drive over to join them! I usually can't even take pics of the food because i can't keep from tearing into it when it comes out >v> lol. MAYbe next time? No guarantees though X) I still keep forgetting to ask how you say the places name before i leave.. XD NEXT VISIT!!
This place is tasty as hell. I work a few minutes away and my team and I go to Duy at least once a week to satisfy our Pho/Vermicelli cravings. They don't have your traditional rare beef Pho, which is a bit of a bummer, but the other noodle soups make up for it because they are super fresh and flavorful. The Vermicelli is delicious too.
We had been going to Pho Saigon for a while before this but made the switch over and haven't ever been back to Pho Saigon since then.
I'd recommend any of the Vermicellis (except the coconut milk thick vermicelli) and any of the noodle soups (I like it best with clear noodles - a bit chewier!) Super good.
This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Austin. Small mom and pop shop. Super friendly place. They offer both Vietnamese and Chinese cruisens. The Chiness dishes are not great but the Vietnamese options are off the hook.
