Shanghai Noodle House was my favorite place in Texas to get Chinese food, I am very sad to see it go but the memories will live on in my taste buds forever

Great place and amazing hosts. They didn't have much vegetarian options but customized a soup noodles for us and it was delicious. We had one of best and cheapest bubble teas here. Do try green onion pancake, its so delicious. Would love to visit this place again.

Hole in the wall, has a slight smell when you walk in. Very small, I came for a late lunch and no one was here. Lady behind the counter was SO nice!! I was feeling basic so I got noodles and a boba smoothie and It was soooooo good. I feel like it tastes pretty authentic. Will be back 3 thumbs up!

This place is a small mom and pop kinda operation. They are very friendly! I got the stir fried rice noodles with curry. It was really yummy! Good curry flavor not over powering or too heavy. The dish included baby shrimp with fragrant bell peppers, spring onions, and sweet carrots.

Step is kind. But interior is very simple. Taste is average quality.

It's still new but this has the potential to be the next great hidden gem in Anderson Mill! Very very friendly staff, super clean interior, and a straightforward traditional noodle house menu. The BEEF NOODLE SOUP is filled with tender shavings of beef in a light, tasty broth. You can order it spicy, or ask for the chili on the side. Just don't skip the chili altogether - even a little bit adds depth and richness to the soup that really makes it what it is meant to be. The noodles themselves aren't fancy, knife cut, or hand-stretched, but they hold up properly to the broth and complete the dish well. GREEN ONION PANCAKES are one of my favorite, easy to enjoy, side dishes from noodle houses, and these were - no exaggeration - the best I've ever had in Austin! These aren't the limp, soggy, or undercooked version you may have found elsewhere. They are, instead, freshly fried, delicately thin layers of crispy "dough" that flake off with every bite of green onion goodness. They feel like air in your hand, but deliver plenty of flavor. I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu. If this place is consistently this good, it will find its way onto the list of Northwest Austin's legendary Asian hole-in-the-wall joints, like Asia Cafe and Chen's. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

Awesome mom and pop shop. I lived in China for over 2 years and one of my favs was beef noodle soup, infamous in Shanghai. It was great to find a bowl here in Austin! Friendly place, and I will definitely be back for the rest of the menu.

Stopped in here with my family for a casual lunch. We have been wanting to try this place for some time, but it can be so hard to try something new when you already have favorites. So happy that we stopped in. This place will now be a regular for us. The food was amazingly flavorful and both of my kids ate every bit of food they could get their hands on. The staff was awesome as well, so kind and helpful. We will most certainly be returning soon.

I love this place and so does my family. The food in my opinion is very excellent. The lady at the counter is very sweet and friendly. If your looking for an Asian kitchen, chill type of place to go and wind down, I highly recommend this place for couples and families with kids. You wonโ€™t be disappointed. The smoothies and bubble teas are great there too

First time coming here. I asked the lady working the counter what was good. She recommended a spicy noodle soup with pork and fried tofu. It was sooo very good. I want to go back and try other dishes. She also gave me a sample of bubble tea. Very refreshing with little tapioca pearls in it. Five stars aren't enough to rate this place. Yummy!!!

Have not been disappointed yet, very friendly staff that remembers you. The beef noodle soup is killer, the beef is very tender, same with the pork. The dumpling soup is fantastic for lunch, very light. I rather enjoy their take on a Thai Tea as well. I have also tried the General Tso's chicken, and Beef with broccoli. Both had great flavor. And the broccoli was perfect. Definitely give them a try.

I went today for lunch and had a great experience. The low key restaurant wasn't packed so the service was prompt. The older lady, who might be the owner, was so sweet. We had the green onion pie, pan-fried dumplings, and stir fry noodles with pork. The green onion pie, is possibly, the best in Austin. The pan-fried dumplings were cooked perfectly and served in a relatively large portion (relative to other restaurants) which I loved because I was getting more dumplings for the money. The stir fry noodles with pork was simply delicious and packed with flavor. I will definitely eat here again.

Literally the SWEETEST people ever. We just recently moved here from Houston and decided to stop by one day for tea. Upon entering, you can tell that they take pride in their restaurant and clean thoroughly! When we were on our way back to Houston late at night (as they were closing) we really wanted tea, when they saw us they told us it was okay and that they could make us whatever we wanted! They truly make their restaurant have a family vibe, and we genuinely love them! I absolutely recommend!

Wonderful little family run chinese place. I absolutely love their veggie egg rolls and the wonton soup. The employees are super friendly, and the food always comes fast, hot, and fresh!
