My husband and I ate here yesterday and we enjoyed ourselves! Marco & his lovely wife Ashley are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Their barbecue was well seasoned. My husband isn't a big rib eater. After eating the ones here, he raved about how well seasoned and tender they were. We even met a couple that drives from Dallas regularly for their food! We're looking forward to the next time. Thank you Marco & Ashley for creating an amazing experience!

Super sweet couple that man the food truck outside helped us decide what to get and offered amazing suggestions. The food was top notch, helped us regain faith in the world. Enjoy some soul changing BBQ if you need some comfort.

Wow, great BBQ! Do yourself a favor and walk inside to get the breakfast tacos that are made with the meat from the pork ribs. Phenomenal

Very good BBQ. Slightly on the spicy side, but I love that. Great bark on the ribs and they're fall off the bone tender. I may be biased because this is close to my house and there's no long lines. The fatty brisket was also delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the brisket and egg breakfast tacos. I didn't catch his name but the pit master was very friendly and personable.

Made a stop here for the first time after hiking McKinney falls and I was pleasantly surprised! The brisket and turkey moist and amazing. So was the sausage. It had a great taste and they had a sauce that was unique but went well with the meats. The sides were good as well. The potato salad good mac and cheese was a white cheese and creamy like I like it. Cream corn lived up to the name, thumbs up. Pickles seemed to be home made and were sweet. We plan on coming back for breakfast tacos.we're so jealous of those who live in the area. You have a gem!

Great experience all around! Friendly staff, excellent sides and superb BBQ. I had some burnt ends and baby back ribs. The burnt ends had a great smoke ring throughout and the cut of meat was unbelievably lean and perfectly cooked. Great pepper rub and bark too. The baby back ribs we're also incredible. Tender and juicy without completely falling apart. You can tell this place starts with quality meats and then carefully elevates them to an even higher level. Even the sides are a step above. The pickles are delicious, crispy, bread and butter pickles. In addition, the onions are nicely pickled and not too sweet. A side of pickled jalapenos cauliflower and carrots also come standard with your order. In addition to all that I wanted to try their highly-acclaimed collard greens. I have never been a fan of collard greens but let me tell you I am now. Lots of garlic, huge chunks of celery, and a broth that I swear could cure whatever ails you.

Fantastic brisket and ribs! Brisket was very flavorful and moist despite being relatively lean. Ribs super tender and well seasoned. Although I’m not a turkey person, the turkey was surprisingly good, not dry at all. Additionally, the creamed corn was really good, highly recommended. Beyond the food, the service was really friendly and there is the added bonus that if you have a person in your party that isn’t into BBQ they can order from Papalote with whom they share the dining area. Highly recommended.

I was getting my car worked on around the corner so I decided to give this place a try. All I can say is wow! Amazing flavor. I had "Texas Crutch" a chopped brisket sandwich with black eye peas as a side. The brisket was so good on its own but I decided to try the sauce and it was even better. Defiantly found a new place to eat at on congress. The staff is super friendly too and the chef is a pro!

Having tried a decent bit of BBQ all around Austin, I think I can safely say that this place has the best for which you don't need to WAIT forever! This may be a silly distinction to make, but talking with friends and coworkers about places like Franklin's, La BBQ, and Salt Lick when you're already hungry is pretty frustrating since we agree they are very good but they require at least a small amount of planning ahead or willingness to wait a long while! That being said, really liked the ribs and brisket here since they were very moist and flavorful. The brisket seemed to come sliced such that it had a fatty side and a lean side, which worked out well, and the bbq sauce had a slight spiciness to it as well which makes it a bit more unique than the standard sweet-only BBQ sauce. Overall solid place

The brisket was just a little dry even for lean but had great smoke flavor (post oak I believe) and a delicious rub. The ribs were well rendered, soft and the rub was good. The coleslaw was excellent and the pickles and onions were all pickled. They have outdoor and indoor seating and will share the space with Papalote in the future so you'll get a twofer of good food.

Great brisket, however the moist brisket could have been more moist.. Baby back ribs had a great rub on them, requiring no need for BBQ sauce. The Mac and cheese here is now one of my top favorite I've ever had. Could have used more pickles with our order, always need more pickles.

We got the brisket, sausage and ribs. Everything was delicious and the seasoning was unreal. We went late in the day and all the meats were still super juicy. The bbq sauce is tangy, thick and unique, the potatoe salad and beans were seasoned to perfection with hunks of meat mixed in. Alonso was super personal is our favorite bbq chef in Austin. Also prices are suuuuuuper reasonable for the portion size!

Want top of line Austin BBQ without waiting forever? Look no further. Staff are super friendly. Prices are reasonable too. One really cool aspect is that they share space and even food with Papalote, a taco joint. So if you’re in the mood for brisket tacos you can get that too.

This is really interesting BBQ. It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but they definitely put a unique twist on the meat. The BBQ sauce almost has a curry like flavor to it...again not a bad thing, but just interesting. It does pair well with the meat. The meat isn’t overly black peppery which is a feature I love since everyone else in Austin seems to do it that way.
