Not bad for cheap pizza. Soup, salad, pizza, and drink for 6.99 - not bad at all. Pretty darn good pizza in a non-typical pizza joint environment. Worth a trip every now and then. The 6.99 price may be the lunch special so I am not sure what dinner pricing is.

Just got and man was it impressively good! Finally, a place that can deliver on thin crust pizza! We have been in Austin for a year now and it has been impossible to find a decent pizza...until now! Good eats!

Veggie roll...yes please!. Great happy hour, which is literally an hour =) The veggie pizza rolls, included in happy hour, are very tasty and unlike any I've had before. Come with an appetite and you'll for leave satisfied with the taste, quality, and portion!

While there are pizza joints all over South Austin, we love this neighborhood mainstay. You get a choice of 4 crusts (my favorite is the slightly charred NY style) with plenty of topping options for meat- and veggie-lovers alike. Great draft beer selection and always-friendly service, plus pool and video games if you need some entertainment.

They have so much potential. The pizza and ingredients are quite good and fresh with many ingredients being supplied by the local Johnson Backyard. They have a respectable gluten-free crust as well. That is why the four stars. Average wines. The decor is a bit challenging with pool tables and video games consuming space that could be better used. A name like Rockin' Tomato you would think they would actually have live music most of the week. Nope. The stage is empty. The food is good. The restaurant has a brand identity problem.

The pizza is great with a price to match. We were talking about making a family tradition and my six year old said, "Our family tradition should be to eat at Rockin' Tomato some Saturdays." Not exactly what I had in mind, but challenge accepted. I agree with other reviewers that the vibe does not match the quality of the pizza.

I've been in Austin 8 years and have eaten my share of pizza from a number of places; in fact, probably more than my share. I have to say Rockin' Tomato's Detroit-style deep pan pizza is my favorite pie of anything I've eaten in Austin. My wife, who in 10 years in Chicago had her share of great pizza, feels the same way. We nearly always have it delivered so I can't really speak to the restaurant itself (I've only been inside once) but from my view the Detroit-style pizza is great and the service has always been friendly.

My new favorite pizza joint. I've had the pasta, bread twists and pizza and all have been wonderfully delicious, hot and fresh. The staff and owner are attentive to the guests; and the atmosphere is relaxed. I will be back again and again!

My favorite pizza place in town. The crust makes a huge difference, the sourdough (american) in particular is amazing. Really great service. Get american crust with pesto sauce and bacon, or marinara with pepperoni and artichoke hearts. OUT OF THIS WORLD.

I would have easily given them a 5 star rating, as this was my favorite pizza place in Austin, but they stopped the lunch buffet recently. While the food is still amazing and the mostly-locally-grown salad bar is a treat, the buffet was one of the best deals in Austin. Please Rockin' Tomato, think of the children!

GREAT beer specials! I love the happy hour specials for the pizza rolls and pizza. The only downside was that we have a 16th month old who needs a booster seat / high chair which they don't provide. Either or. Must Go!

Best pizza in Austin. Farm to table ingredients. Everything is made in house. Smoked chicken? Who does that? They even make their own buttermilk for the ranch. Free pool. Awesome staff

The service is excellent. The rockin rolls are so tasty, and the pizza is very very good. The Firemans Four beer from the tap was very cold. The Greek salad excellent. And, you can't beat the free pool!

I would have rated this awesome place as 'excellent' for food--but they recently switched up their vegan pizza from a wonderful "cheese" to the subpar Daiya. I am not against Daiya, but the cheeze they used before was out of this world amazing, and now it just tastes like a mediocre pie I could have made at home. I love this place and will continue to come here, but I am requesting that you please go back to whatever it was you did before... because it was AMAZING! :)

These guys left a flyer on my door so I called em up. I'm quite picky with my Italian food so naturally I requested a meal that was not on the menu. They had absolutely no issues giving me exactly what I wanted! I also had jalapeño poppers.. delish!

Very friendly, good service, and an amazing happy hour!! They have pool tables as well if you want to play and eat, menu is a little confusing but other than that their good is good and I recommend this place to all pizza lovers.
