I love Bill Miller and visited this location three or four times during my couple of months living in South Austin. I fondly remember eating at Bill Miller as a college student in San Antonio and had only eaten at one once in the last eight years because I moved to a different part of the state that doesn't have them. I had been warned that they no longer have the big portions from before, but I still found myself having a hearty meal and couldn't always finish it. The brisket, potato salad, cole slaw, and fries are as delicious as I remember. The seating area is clean and the bathrooms are too. Staff was friendly. Can't wait to go back once I'm back in the area!
Solid bill millers spot, the food is great and consistent. I always take my family visiting from out of state here, at least for one meal. Will say that the staff at times is inconsistent in regards to attentiveness and politeness. Never rude but you see a variation at times.
Highly recommend the wild bill for anyone who loves a food poboy sandwich! Comes with brisket and sausage. 👌🏻
Few notes to bare in mind here:
- I would not recommend DoorDash-ing from here unless you are hyper specific in your notes. To many times I have an either not received what I requested or had things come slightly different, either extra ingredients or missing some.
- the drive through is very slow at times and there have been multiple experiences where either the intercom on one of ends wasn’t working well. So ordering became a bit of a hassle. Highly recommend just parking and walking in. 9/10 times it was faster and better.
Had a hankering for some BBQ but didn't have much time in between activities and I didn't want to spend $20 or more on it, so the drive thru service was super convenient and 1 meat with 3 sides platter was plenty filling and tasty. The meat wasn't spectacular but it did the trick. It's what I would expect for chain BBQ and probably how they keep their prices reasonable. The drive thru attendant was helpful and nice. I would go back when I'm wanting quick and easy and inexpensive BBQ.
My first experience here was awesome! A friend of mine told me that low key the breakfast tacos are great and it’s true. I had a potato and guisada taco and dang it was awesome!
Those tortillas though! Who would have thought this bbq joint has great tortillas?
Also, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the triple stack of pancakes are here.
To top it off, the dining in, the service was friendly too.
We have recently noticed better service here.

Nov 8 2021 Menu pics! Love the size of the brisket tacos, they’re the only reason I don’t go to Buccee’s or Rudy’s; Billy M’s compete right there to spot #1 due to convenience and flavor. The salsa is the best! It’s like combining salsa verde casera with salsa roja you use for breakfast tacos, so you are given this spicy blend that hits the spot more than regular red breakfast salsa. It’s like the salsa Mexican mothers make at home every day. The brisket could be cut thicker but I love that the portions have remained consistent even throughout the pandemic. Stay my fave!
Very clean and the good was excellent and the prices were excellent as well. I love the plates and not the way other places serve the barbecue. Lots of choices and desert. Great value.
If your visiting Texas, this is a must stop! Best breakfast tacos ever! Awesome fried chicken and brisket!
Amanda and her team always take great care of us. Great service, friendly staff, and great food. Nothing better than a nice lunch to ease a hard day's work.
Food Great. Quality and Quantity awesome. Tea was the best as always! Service ok had the rudest cashier. I brought my parents to dinner. She sighed when my mom asked for a tea refill. She would sigh and suck her teeth when you ask her for anything. I won't post her name, but Im sure yall know who I'm talking about. I'm given her the benefit of the doubt that it might of been that she was tired. Other than that always great. Love you guys.
Service great,it was a quiet dinner. Not too crowed or screaming kids. It was great time no problems no fuss.
This isn't true smoked barbecue, but the thing I like the most about them is that that they are affordable. If you need to feed a family for cheap, Go here.

Very good food here. Love there lunch and dinner foods, but especially there breakfast stuff. Be warned, the make their pancakes to order, so they take time.
Avoid the drive thru and call your order in before you leave the house, it will be ready by the time you get there.
