Tacos are hot, fresh and inexpensive. The people are fantastic. The breakfast and street tacos are both excellent. I got four nice sized tacos today for $8.50. What more do you want from a neighborhood taco food truck. Cash only! Don’t forget.

Must try for taco lovers.
I used to drive by this humble food truck, and every time after noon there was a line of hispanic people. One day it clicked for me, if this is the Mexican food truck frequented by hispanics, the spot must have some great good.
For your information, this is a cash only truck, but there is an atm across from the bench, and a bank across from the truck.
So I walked over one day and grabbed a variety of tacos, and let me tell you, excellent food.
You can have flour or corn tortillas, the chicken taco meat is this brilliant fajita style seared to perfection meat. Same brilliant sear and tasty beef. The cilantro and onions are always fresh and crisp.
And one of my favorite parts of this truck is the awesome staff, there is a kind woman who makes you feel as though your aunt is fixing you a hot plate of delicious food.
My advice: Hit an atm, head over and try multiple items. You will thank me.
Absolutely the best breakfast tacos in north Austin, maybe in Austin as a whole. The only competitor is probably Donn's bbq but that is a long drive and much more expensive. The people who run the truck are super friendly and accommodating. Tacos are cheap and the flavors are incredible. The potatoes they use are perfectly fried and flavored, the bacon or eggs are always perfectly cooked and flavorful, the beans are excellent, the tortillas (both corn and flour) are great. The lunch is not quite as good in my opinion but you will not find a better breakfast taco.

I would argue El Amigo has some of the best breakfast burritos in all of Austin !! I love breakfast burritos and try them from everywhere and they are the only ones who are consistently amazing every single time I order 🔥 don’t hesitate trying them if you want breakfast at great pricing as well, tons of value for your dollar and another reason why I drive a little further to come here 💯

This place is super delicious and I will be coming back! What I love is that their prices are not expensive at all and there is so much food in the tacos here. You might only want to order one taco, because they overfill it and it will fill up the normal person, but if you eat a lot I still do not recommend getting more than two tacos. This is a very good deal for your money. I highly recommend, this place is yummy and I can’t wait to come back! 😊

The food at this place is amazing I never get disappointed. I strongly recommend to order in advance and if possible it’s better to place your order using Spanish. The lady is always friendly and happy and she has never made a rude comment or put a bad attitude. She has a lot of patience and her food is always on point.
Really good tacos and decent size. We asked for salsa and the guy didn’t tell us salsa was already included but charged us for extra salsa.

I have drove past this spot on the way too and from work for years when I should have stopped long ago. Their hours aren’t ideal if you work 9-5 and you have to bring cash. Trust me though, its worth it.
Ordered a breakfast taco and the carnitas taco...the carnitas were THE best carnitas I have ever had. Words can’t describe it you have to order it.
