This place is amazing !! Service is spectacular and everything I've had on the menu has been spectacular. You must try the chicken liver toast and the mussels. If you are worried about prices they have amazing happy hour deals on both drinks and food. One of my new favorite stops!

This was one of the best meals I've had in Austin. Country pate and fried oysters a must. The red snapper entree was incredible. And if that wasn't enough the cornbread sundae is now my favorite dessert in Austin. Stellar meal. And ladies half price bottles of wine on Mondays!

This is one of my favorite places for brunch on the weekends. Great service, great food, and the best Bloody Mary's on SoCo!

Love this French Bistro in the heart of downtown South Congress. Make a point and taste/see what there is to see, you will not be disappointed.

Walked in and was immediately seated on a Saturday night. Loved the deviled eggs and duck confit sloppy joe. My wife had pesto linguine with shrimp and was equally enamored. Would definitely dine again if we are in the area.

Really cute place. Tapas are not traditional. I’d skip the Spanish omelette and opt for the patatas bravas not because it’s authentic but because the aioli is yummy. They do happy hour with both food and drink specials daily from 4-6. And then in Sunday’s and Monday’s all bottles of wine are half off. Would come again. I bet the patio is lovely in the spring.

After hearing so many friends rave about this place I finally made it in for a visit. This place is surrounded by some of Austins great restaurants and this place is just as good. Will happily keep visiting them. Show up for their top notch happy hour and everything on the menu will delight.

This place is phenomenal. The muscles are a must. Their fries are now and crisp. Happy hour from 5-8 is where it's at. Veronica was great.

I miss the fried chicken at Little Barrel and Brown but this place did not disappoint, besides a mediocre salmon pate. The classic mussels, cheese board and wagyu beef were excellent. The waitstaff was very attentive, and they have a great wine list. Their beer and cider list however was a bit limited, and I wish their menu was a bit more extensive. The interior is very chic and cozy. Overall a good restaurant.

Great spot for a date, celebration, or nice dinner. The mussels appetizer is a must! It comes in a creamy broth with ham hocks and is pretty stellar all around. For my entree I had the red snapper. It came on forbidden black rice with some mushrooms and pesto on the side. It was a really great dish and very tasty. My friend ordered the hangar steak, which I got a taste of and was really good as well. The cornbread sundae is also a super must; thyme cornbread with a bourbon ice cream and caramel popcorn. Everything about that dessert is delicious. The service was top notch! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered any questions we had. The food came out quickly, which was nice. The layout of the restaurant is alright. If you sit on one side, you get a view of the bar. If you sit on the other, you get a view of the kitchen (which is a dangerous place to sit if you're indecisive and prone to thinking you should have ordered X, Y, or Z instead). Little Barrel and Brown is serving really delicious food and an overall great dining experience. Definitely worth checking out!

We went yesterday for happy hour and could not have been more pleased. The Beaujolais on the HH menu was $6, so reasonable. My husband had a $6 Old Fashioned which he thought was one of the best he has had. We had hummus, apple salad, mussels and and fabulous flat bread. Every one of the dishes that we had was wonderfully presented, hot or cold as was appropriate. Incredibly delicious! We were already planning our return.

Tasty and tasteful, this is a really great spot. Classic menu, very reminiscent of eating in the north east. Clean and inviting, friendly staff, and nice mix of midrange drinks. Plenty of seating, lively atmosphere, you can't go wrong. Really nice happy hour too, which goes 6-8, which accommodates some of us later shift folks which FEW places in Austin do anymore. I had to bump it down a star due to our server. Not sure what was up, but hey, it happens. I'm sure this is rather out of the ordinary.

I had a great time dining here. Little Barrel is from the same folks who run Botticelli's down the street, and they are a great group of guys! The atmosphere here is very sexy, with loads of leather and wood, it really sets the tone for a great date (although on the occasion I visited I came with 2 of my good friends). Service was great and our server was attentive, honest and caring. Drinks were strong, food was good, and I think they still have room for improvement in that area (meaning, I wasnt blown away by my dish). That said, my friend got the burger and he really enjoyed it, so theres that! All in all, definitely a good spot on SoCo and definitely a place to watch for!

The food here is DELICIOUS! I randomly found this place online shortly after they opened and we decided to come here before a show. This was a happy little surprise as the food was outstanding, as were the drinks. They have their own drink specialties and even the classics taste great. It's not the cheapest place around, it'll definitely cost you for a dinner for two, but still very worth it.

Comfort food at its best. Pork chop is on par with Perry's minus the applesauce. The burger was spectacular and the house made Fettuccini was straight out of grandmas kitchen. Fantastic meal with friends. A little loud for a table of six.

Little Barrel and Brown is a classy place. Great place if you looking for a business dinner. Keep in mind of their hours, not sure why they choose to open at 5pm, I would bet if they opened earlier, they would get a good crowd. However if you do go, it is worth it, the food is very tasty.

Great presentation fantastic selection and the service is top quality. The cheese board and Charterie board are phenomenal. The atmosphere was also divine cultivated with lovely ambiance, wonderful music, and genuine conversation. In conclusion there are no bears making the overall experience one worth having and definitely worth repeating.

Overall a great local restaurant! It's prices are a bit high, wish I could just deduct a 1/2 star for that, but the staff was so friendly, the space was very pretty, the menu was small but unique, and the food was incredible. Would recommend!

While still a relatively new establishment, LB&B has proven to be the one of the best and most consistent restaurants in South Austin. Fitting under the guise of "New American," there's a good deal of creativity and embellishment in what would normally be every day fare. The ambience is great, and it's easy to converse with someone at your table while still maintaining a certain amount of bustling background noise of a classic diner. The recently added weekend brunch and the Monday evening country picnic buffet, cements it as a must-visit mainstay on the ever-growing south side to S Congress.
