Ordered the special sandwich with grilled pork, and the BBQ brisket (Cowboy?) sandwich. The brisket was a little fatty, but the bread was crispy, fresh and delicious. Both sandwiches were quite excellent, especially given the price. I would ignore past reviews going forward; this place was bought out by 888 a few months back, and the quality is showing. Will definitely be back with friends.
A nice place to go for Lunch. I always order the Jack Daniels BBQ Ban Mi. More of an American twist on Ban Mi, but I think its fantastic. The service is friendly, but often slow. The restaurant has never been very crowded when I have been there. I am very tempted to try their Pho Challenge.
Let me start off by saying I enjoyed the grilled pork banh mi sandwich. The problem is that they charge double what I would expect, and its not at the same level as the more traditional Vietnamese places in North Austin. It's more traditional than Elizabeth's on 1st, but the seasoning on the meat is not quite where it needs to be. It's a little too American-ized in terms of being light on the vegetables and the spice, and heavy on the meat and a little too greasy. I will certainly go back, and I look forward to trying the Pho and the other varieties of sandwiches.
This place recently got bough by 888 Pan Asian, which is one of my favorite restaurants in town. We came here with no expectations and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised! The banh mi was fantastic! Definitely check it out!
Randomly ended up at Eat Ban Mi and was quickly surprised of the variety of food available. The staff was nice and helpful on explaining the items on the menu, or giving recommendations.
Incredible banh mi sandwiches. I lived in Philadelphia and New York and this ranks right up there with the best.
I can't wait to take on the Pho. :)
Clean, fast service, and yummy food - I had the shrimp pho and wonton soup, which were served promptly and had the just the right flavor. Will def go again!
