I love, love, love this place. The sushi is fresh and a good value; although I'm not generally a Chinese-food fan, I like it at Peony. The quality and service, both inhouse and online ordering, has always been spot on. It's my go-to place for a good experience. Thanks, Peony!!!!

My wife and I have been coming to the Leander/Austin area for this past year due to the deteriorating health of my parents. My wife absolutely loves Chinese food and asked my parents neighbor for a recommendation for a good Chinese restaurant in the Austin area. The neighbor indicated there are many restaurants in the area but if we do not mind a 20 mile drive there is a excellent restaurant off Baloney Woods. She could not remember the name but stated it used to be called Peony's. We enter the name in Google Maps and this restaurant appeared. We decided to try it since we were already here. What a pleasant surprise! We met the owner who welcomed us with the ost pleasant t smile and treated us as VIP guest. She then proceeded to make pleasant small talk and recommend a couple of dishes for us to try. My wife ordered the Beef with Black bean sauce with white rice. I ordered the House Spicy Shrimp. We alway had the Wonton and Hot Sour soups. We were so impressed with out meals and the company of the owner and the staff we now stop and eat at this restaurant on each visit as we did today for lunch. I brought my dad and mom as well they rave about this restaurant each time I come to visit. If you have not visited this restaurant I encourage you to do so you will not be disappointed.
Their food is soooooo good! I ordered the Mongolian beef tonight and I was not disappointed. It was fresh and the char on the beef added a lot of flavor. Their prices are good and so is the service. :)
Clean, quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The food was very fresh. It seems like they prepare the food more carefully than your typical Chinese food restaurant. I felt like there was a lot more care taken than I would have expected. It was a pleasant surprise.
My wife, son and myself have been eating here every Christmas since we moved here 4 years ago. We look forward to it all year. It's family run and they remember us even though we only come once a year. Great atmosphere and awesome food!
Ordered delivery and was very happy with portions and taste of egg foo young.
This is our go to neighborhood takeout. I've never gotten anything I dislike here. The food is consistent, the service is always great. I definitely recommend it!
