Really good way of food and life to start or lunch. Come on in...

Just read Alexandra's review... It is just incredible! I am French and I am horrified how you have been treated so badly in this café ! It was so nice you to order even if you didn't feel it just because they seem desperate for business. Above all, you just wanted a simple cheese, lettuce and tomato sandwich on a baguette which they have not but luckilly one on the menu was similar but with ham. As you don't eat ham, they make a special for you without ham and you didn't even ask for a cheaper price, you are so generous. In addition, he was talking to you with his french accent, I agree with you it is a bad idea and not very correct, I am sure you do speak languages with no accent in every country you have visited or with foreigner people you are talking to ? And concerning his attitude about how the menu is organized and unnecessarily telling you things about the menu you already know and could clearly see is just intolerable, wasting your time telling you how proud he is, with his sandwiches making, is definitly not an appropriate way, much better to take your order as quick as possible and giving your food rigth away! Then, if I understand correctly, when the food was ready, you even said about how you were looking forward to using their service of picnic basket deliveries for when you go to the beach, to give him more business, is that right? May I ask, as you seem so generous since the begining, that you didn't negociate for rebate for these future sandwiches? Whatever, you took the food and was about to head out but he said oh you need to pay me. You really did think you paid him earlier and just forgot. After all, the long food talk and distraction with that guy really confuse you. It is not a big deal but unfortunate events occurred and your card was declined apparently- he did not even provide a receipt that it says declined but told me it's declined, you imply may be it was not true? You found it odd since you just checked your bank app and you have plenty of money on there and just used the card earlier that day, so it is legitimate to think that he was lying! Even so, you gave him your credit card, which also has space to charge just a $10 meal (which in your opinion was overpriced, but that's besides the point). Oh yes, really overpriced, especially without ham! Bad luck, your credit card didn't go through either. Now that's really strange... oh yes, very-very strange... the guy was trying to charge you twice for sure! So, you decide to have not the food but he says the food is already made, you have to pay, that makes sense, no? He should be charging before making the food then!", how can you say that, are you so dishonest, it is so unfair... Luckily a gentleman behind you paid for you. Question : did he have any french accent? A South accent, North accent? You growl against the man behind the counter who was going on an on about how you have to go around the corner to the bank and fix it... was it not the easy, simple, best advice? Obviously, not for you! However, I am really surprised that he said "you American!" because French definitely know that Americans are not like the way... you are :-(
