This place is incredible. Easily the best bar in Babylon Village, if not the South Shore. I had the Bahn Mi sandwich, which was authentic. A big Pretzel, and dry rub wings. I was satisfied with everything. Not too many places you can go for good sandwiches. The prices were appropriate and the beer selection is great if you like European beer and Local craft beer. Not too many domestic bottles beside Bud Light, Coors, Miller Lite and Heineken but I don't see that as a bad thing. The bartenders were all fast and polite. The open feel of the beer hall is my favorite part, especially when the windows were open. It gets loud which I liked because I like the NYC beer hall vibe. I think there was like 15 or 16 large TVs for sports and the music was on point when I went. Place was packed out too, with a lot of women there. Hope the kitchen eventually opens later than 11pm, when I'm hungriest. Great Job! I'm definitely coming back.
That chicken harvest wrap was on point and our server was awesome. Defintely recommend this place.

The Local takes bar food and elevates it beyond measure! If you're a Foodie, stop in and eat. The Short-Rib Grilled cheese sandwich with home made potatoe chips is to die for. Plus, craft beer that you can have canned to take home! Check it out, The Local will not disappoint!
Went here for the first time on Saturday 01/13/18 with a buddy of mine. The Local had a very good crowd at the bar and at the tables. Tells you right away that there doing something right in this place. As soon as I walked up to the bar, a bartender came right up to me asking me what I would like. Asked him about the beer selection and he was great on giving me quick info on their beer selection. Now, I'm a former bartender myself and my customers always came first before talking with friends that came into see me. Let me tell you, the staff in this place MOVES! You can see between all the drinks going out along with the food, not one person working here was standing still. Great, friendly crowd, great atmosphere, awesome service and a great location! I even got a "Road Soda" to go. That's a beer they can "can" for you right there in the bar. First time ever to see this done in a bar! The other thing I must mention here, did not see any idiot's in this place hitting on the girls or causing problems. So for the ladies, come on down, you'll be in good hands here with no problems. I would have no problem bringing my wife down here at anytime. Going back real soon!
Amazing food. Ambiance was lovely. Even liked the furniture. Patty melts on the bread is my favorite meal at any restaurant. They make the best one. However, they don't have mushrooms. Every Patty melt needs shrooms. Either way, it was delicious! My son (hes21),had the Turkey sandwich. It had stuffing with cranberries in it. If you love Thanksgiving food, then you will love this sandwich. Again, delicious. The reason I mentioned my son's age is because the food is eclectic and for older crowd. I would've loved to try a dessert the next time. Maybe a drink too. The local area is nice to walk around also. Definitely get there soon! Enjoy

Awesome food, drinks, and atmosphere. Will be back without a doubt. It's obvious how much work has gone into turning this place into what it is and how invested the staff is at taking it to the next level. Definitely our new spot.
Went here with a large group, we had a great time. The food menu is different with lots of new variations on old favorites. I had the duck tacos and my husband had the short rib grilled cheese, both were delicious. Great atmosphere and service all around. Will definitely be back.
Loved the outdoor feel inside on a beautiful day! Ordered the Cuban stuffed pretzels, pastrami sandwich and LI duck club, they were all excellent and just a little different than the usual. Oktoberfest brew was the best! Staff are attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Been there a few times now. Great location right next to the train. The food has been great every time. The bartenders and servers are always nice. The Chef even came out to give us extra wings because he thought he shorted us. Couldn’t have been any nicer. It’s probably my favorite place to go to in Babylon
Lots of televisions to watch the games. Great selection of beers and liquor. Great and attentive staff. They know how to talk about speciality beers. Like the Dunkin pumpkin which is pumpkin beer with a vanilla shot. Will be coming back again.

Went out for Thursday night dinner and drinks. We sat at the corner of the bar and was taken care of by the bartender Nick. Although he was very busy taking care of other customers, he was very attentive to us and made us feel like family at the bar. The food came out extremely fresh and hot. Nick was able to answer any questions we had about the food and drinks, and you can easily tell he has many years of experience behind the bar. I would definitely recommend The Local to anybody who would like great food and drinks in the Babylon Village area.
I came here for drinks one night and the atmosphere is a fun time. They play current music and some classic songs. It does get packed due to the size and hard to order a drink but overall it's a nice spot.

We stopped in during a street fair for a cider and a beer. The Local is a small, very clean, nicely decorated place, with a varied, reasonably priced menu. Great beer and cider selections. Close to LIRR station. We'll definitely be back to try the food!
Been there many times over the years. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything you order is excellent. Great friendly service at all times. A definite winner 🏆🏆

Always look forward to my layover in Babylon but I have to unfortunately submit a bad review. For the second time I was told approximately how long my order would take for I asked as I had limited time to catch a connecting train. Reassured both times I got on the train with no food. This last order..fries. told t minutes..20 minutes later I'm running out the door no food in hand again. Like I said..food is good. Manager or who ever needs to step up. Bartender did her job. Why I lett a tip.

Went for Bingo and had the absolute best time! The cocktails we got were great & the Korean street tacos were AMAZING. The vibes for bingo were so much fun and the staff was so nice and attentive. We will definitely be back.
