Great food in a very comfortable, elegantly cozy space. Owner Is very hands-on, and it is obvious that the community loves the restaurant (lots of regulars). Try the Bainbridge Whiskeys. They are really good.
Everything I had was delicious. The service and atmosphere are excellent.
I highly recommend the gnocchi. The gnocchi is a bit different from the standard. The sear and sunflower seeds add an interesting texture while the grilled corn adds some sweetness.
Took the ferry over to Bainbridge to eat at Mora (ice cream) and Agate. Both highly recommended! Mussels were perfectly done is a light and flavorful curry broth, use the spoon to finish it all! The elk burger was perfectly cooked with crispy shoestring fries. Certainly a great place for PNW forward fare.
Really liked this place. Such an awesome server too. Service by all staff was great. Food was very hood. A bit pricey but sometimes it is do nice to splurge and enjoy great food, nice atmosphere. They have outside seating too. Well done Agate Restaurant 👏
DON'T HESITATE!! This is one of the best restaurants on the island, if not the best, and I've tried them all. The food is incredible, as is the service, ambiance, and drinks. If Rich is your server, count yourself lucky, because he's the best there is.
We've visited Agate several times now and it is consistently excellent. Both the service and the food. I've never had anything here that I didn't like. The fish and pasta dishes are particularly good. Oh, and the budino is an awesome way to end a meal.
We visited for a nice dinner on our way to the Bainbridge-Seattle ferry terminal. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The menu is limited but everything we tried was delicious! The salmon was amazing and we will definitely eat here again. (Try the ginger mock-tails!)
