I took my best friend here who was visiting from Georgia. She absolutely loved it. She was so impressed with the service definitely 5 star. The food there was not one complaint, delicious and the atmosphere while it speaks for itself. Love this place.

Came in on a Sunday noon, not too busy, had a good time sitting enjoying a beer. The clam chowder was good the Captain signature crab cake was excellent. Since I am visiting from Texas I found the price a bit on the high side but since I enjoyed my time here I don’t mind that much.

Captain James’ food was pretty good! Everyone enjoyed their food and my particular favorite was their crab Mac and cheese it was absolutely delicious!!! The breakfast burrito was also really good and just the right size! The service was pretty slow, but other than that the servers were very peppy and attentive. The atmosphere wasn’t anything outstanding, but was clean and neat!

We opted for the restaurant instead of the crabhouse across the street this evening because of the rain and 100 degree weather. Service was prompt and our waitress and hostess was super accommodating after changing our reservation time, several times. The jumbo crabs were so sweet and meaty and the accompanying dishes were all delicious. Will definitely come back every time with the kids and rents 🦀

My second time here at this awesome after 4 years. I've been wanting to come back ever since and Finally made it. Want to try some authentic crabs and crab cakes? Look no further and set the GPS to Captain James. I will say there's no better spot then this, great food and great service staff.

Absolutely amazing food!! I had the seafood Alfredo, which was unlike any other (in the best way possible). My husband had the crab cake platter that consisted of 2 of the biggest crab cakes I’ve very seen (no picture because he dug in too quickly). The atmosphere is so cool—like you’re in a boat without the seasickness. Definitely swing through!

Everything tasted fresh and no wait for a table on a Saturday midday! Crabs were priced reasonable to the season and area. No brain eating disease in the oysters as I'm still alive. Did not have 2xl t shirts. I'm a big guy not their fault I suppose

This place is Soooooooo Amazing !!!! Came to Baltimore to visit family and I have heard so so so much about their seafood, and Blue crabs, So we couldn’t leave without trying them ourselves. We were told that this was one of the many good seafood places to eat at. But from our experience it was the best one in our opinion lol. The establishment was neat and clean, the restrooms were also very clean. The atmosphere was perfect for family dinning, a date , or just to dine with friends. The price point is reasonable you pay for what you get and what we got was worth every penny!!!! Being able to sit on the water dock at eat while you feel a breeze was Awesome. The main restaurant was located across the street but we wanted the dock experience because it was such a beautiful day, I do think you will enjoy this place So Captain James keep up the great customer service and delicious food ..!

Absolutely lovely service, despite having gratuity added automatically (18%) on a party of four. That was really the only blemish on an otherwise pleasant dinner. Food was better than our previous visit, albeit still a bit overpriced.

This restaurant deserves six stars! Unfortunately, one of our diners collapsed in the bathroom creating a potentially embarrassing situation. Fortunately, one of the waitresses worked part-time as a medic. The waitstaff worked tirelessly to provide care for our friend until an ambulance arrived. The management took our friend’s meal off the check. Our waitress, Gina, provided outstanding service to our table. The calamari had just the right amount of breading. The Old Bay spice did not overwhelm the flavor of the calamari. I ordered the club sandwich. The club was “okay;” however, the fries served with the club were outstanding. The fries were obviously sliced freshly in-house. Resembling Thrasher fries, they were a bit greasy, but absolutely delicious! I’d recommend ordering the fries as a side. My friend was particularly fond of his seafood alfredo, which contained a generous portion of seafood. Despite not being able to try them, my other friend’s crab cakes were generously portioned. The New York style cheesecake here is a bargain at $7. The cheesecake is served with whipped cream. It is rich, but not too sweet. I regret that it took me so long to find this restaurant. I’d recommend this establishment to anyone looking to dine on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
