My husband and I love the chicken and waffles! We live to come here for the food and the atmosphere. It’s crowded but the service is still really good. I recommend The Iron Rooster for anyone looking for a place to go for good food and drinks.
Overall the Iron Rooster was great. From the time we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately. We started our order with breakfast nachos, which were amazing! All of our choices for an entree were great as well. I would highly recommend the breakfast nachos and the Old Bay Honey Fried Chicken, both were the highlight of everything. The service here was quick and the employees were great. I am definitely going to be going back to try more of the food options.
Why did I not know about this place sooner!!
I don't care that it is another state, I will pack up the family for a road trip just to come eat here.
What can I say, the food is amazing!! Chicken and French toast so light fluffy, bourbon maples sauce complents so well. The house honey hot sauce on the chicken was amazing 👏🏼. So amazing i bought a full bottle to go home instead of sneaking the half bottle from the table in my purse. I got the crabcake Benedict and was mmmm in my seat, and the Arnold palmer was the best I have ever had! Bacon was perfect blend of crunch, and smoke. Oh and the bloody Mary just topped of the experience!
They have so much on the menu and I personally can't wait to go back and try it all!
I love this location! The food is great, and our server, Jordan was amazing. She was very helpful, and provided immaculate service. Get the brisket hash and the candied bacon - you won’t be disappointed!
Finally made it after all I’ve heard about it. The service was awesome and the food was delicious. Parking was super accessible too. They have several great breakfast combinations. I got the chicken and pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs BUT next time I will get the waffles. I love pancakes and they were delish but I should have definitely tried the waffle flight on the appetizer menu. Chicken was seasoned perfectly, pancakes were light and fluffy, potatoes looked good but had absolutely no flavor whatsoever BUT because the chicken had enough salt/flavor I didn’t mind the tasteless potatoes. There are no bottomless mimosas BUT bayyyybe the pagne to punch ratio was perfect. I was one and done. (Not drunk of course just happy). The $11.99 may seem like a lot for a glass but it was worth it. For what’s its worth it was more of a wine glass than a champagne flute if that helps any. Know this, I will absolutely be back. I look at this as more of a family friendly or morning date spot vs girls boogie brunch hangout.
My best friend and I were looking for a place to meet for brunch and we decided on the Iron Rooster. Hands down, the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had! The portion size was perfect, the biscuit, meat, and gravy ratio was just enough that I was able to finish all of my food. My friend and I shared the candied bacon which was flawless with it's sweet, salty, and spicy flavors. We enjoyed the clean environment, fun and relaxed atmosphere, but especially the visit and the food!
Amazing food. If you follow their instagram they’ll give you bacon for free (we got four pieces). I got the strawberry cheesecake RoosTart and a side of home fries and they both tasted very good. Our server was incredible, very nice and talkative. Great experience overall. Went on a Sunday morning and it wasn’t busy at all, got seated immediately.
Great food and service! Breakfast all day and it was a great time! 👍🏽 Of your going for breakfast this is the place to go!!!
Everything was phenomenal. Troy was our server and she was perfect (10 out of 10 experience) . The food was great (we ordered the egg roll, honey hot chicken sandwich, and the angry omelette. She made the experience great including her suggestions on meals. We will definitely be back and asking for her .
I’ve visited this location a handful of times and each time I have a slightly different experience..
I’ve had both great and not so great service here. All in all, it’s been alright and I’ve had more positive experiences than not.
The food is good! The bacon, you get free if you follow the restaurant on FB but, the bacon itself is not that great unfortunately.
I highly recommend the crab dip! I get it each time and it’s consistently good! The French toast meal comes with only one slice of French toast which is a bummer for the price. Also pictured are the breakfast egg rolls and cheese grits.. the grits were no good but the egg rolls were good.
Lastly, I do not recommend the pop tart. That being, it is advertised as a pop tart and I associate pop tarts with filling in the inside. The tart they offer is more so bread with icing and toppings. I was extremely disappointed and will not purchase again, ever.
The free bacon you receive if you’re following them on Facebook should be illegal. It was practically walking off my plate, it was so undone.
I was here with family, the day we were leaving and it was delicious!! If I'm ever back in town, I'm coming here
Great brunch spot, although expect a wait, as they are known for just that. Great menu selection and the food is very fresh with homemade touches. We did have to manage the hostess and our wait, as there was a good bit of disorganization with line management and seating. We did notice this happened with several of the other guests as well. However, I considered this a minor inconvenience and somewhat expected as busy as they were.
I’ve been to Iron Rooster a handful of times and every time it is a solid experience, but never enough to excite me about going again. If you’re looking for this sort of elevated diner style/brunch food and Iron Rooster is in a good location then go! The service, food, and prices are all good but again, not outstanding. It is fun that they have a 7-10 am happy hour which had me drinking an early cocktail for the hell of it. I enjoy their pop tart knock off as well. Honestly, I’m really struggling to say much else. It’s like a better Dennys/IHOP.
Everything from the food to the service was exceptional! We shared a Strawberry Cheesecake Roo's Tart (they never disappoint) which was mouth watering and the Crab cake Benny was delicious and oh so filling! We went during lunchtime on a weekday during the holidays and there was still plenty of room to sit down as soon as you walked in.
Ordered the Mango Mimosa & Beef Brisket Hash.
I’d give the Mango Mimosa an 6.5 out of 10. Mango wasn’t very prominent but not overpowered by the champagne either. It’s like water or some other mystery ingredient was added.
I’m giving the Beef Brisket Hash a 9.8 of out 10. The only thing that could’ve made this better was if it had more cheese. Just my personal preference. Try this!
Visited for the first time today Friday April 15th. Our server wasn’t the friendliest. Our order took a while to arrive but they were pretty busy for a Friday morning. Everything was delicious. Their homemade pop tarts were incredible. Overall I recommend giving them a try. Maybe go on a weekday morning! Also the bathrooms were gross and not kept up with.
