Secret gem in mount Vernon. BYOB and amazing Thai food. It’s a small place but worth the wait!! Love the eggplant appetizer, duck special and of course the pad Thai. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu
My boyfriend’s favorite Thai place in downtown Baltimore! The place is cozy and it is most of the time packed if you go there during peak hours. Probably not a good place for big groups as the place is small. We usually order drunken noodles and pad thai but their curries are good too. Also order Thai iced tea! It’s a must!

Dining room provides casual dining atmosphere. The price is right for most dishes and locate in the middle of the Baltimore Metro Area. Huge portion and very nice people working there. A+++
It really is a hole in a wall with about 24 settings.
But a very delicious hole indeed.
We had the shrimp soup, chicken satay, chicken pad Thai but my children absolutely snuffed the duck pancakes.
Super delicious, super quick to go in and out if they have seats available, and worth the wait.
This place is small, but the food is amazing! I've been here multiple times since I've found it and it never fails. The staff has always been friendly and I've had no service issues ever. Try the shrimp Pad Thai. Oh and you can BYOB. If you forgot a bottle or want one, there's a place to get that across the street.
Best Thai food in Mount Vernon. Very small restaurant, probably only 4/5 tables. No alcohol, but you can go right across the street and grab a bottle of wine and bring back to the restaurant.
In Baltimore on business, walking from inner harbor to Penn station, and voila, a minimilist Thai place right on Charles Street... The Pad Key Mao was flavorful, spicey, basically spot on... I eat a lot of Thai food and would return withOUT hesitation.
Khun Nine Thai is my absolute favorite restaurant in Baltimore. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! The service is great and always efficient, happy and polite. The owner will also help with food and drink selection. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Baltimore.
Recently went to Kuhn Nine with my boyfriend after our kitchen sink was clogged for about a week. On a Thursday night we were pretty surprised that there was nobody there but we sat down and ordered nonetheless. As lovers of Thai food we were very impressed. The service was very quick, food was clearly made to order as it was scaldingly hot when we received it. A couple weeks later, we visited again with family and though the restaurant was more crowded, the service was just as quick. Nice atmosphere as well, but you might miss it walking by, as it is wedged between two other restaurants. Absolutely worth a try!
Absolutely incredible cuisine! Great service and reasonable prices.
An energetic place, this tiny restaurant is like the little engine that could. With room for only about a half dozen very close tables and an aisle, they spill out with a few sidewalk tables. The full seats and seemingly never ending carryout line attest to the great food. As vegetarians, we were pleased with the variety of entree options, and omnivores have an expansive range. Very reasonable prices. Don't drink too much, as if you need a restroom you will be directed to the restaurant next door. The slow though pleasant service (the second waitstaff had called out, we were told) and loud atmosphere brought the rating down from a 5 to a 4. I still recommend it!
Great food. A nice variation on the typical Thai menu of pad thai and drunken noodles. (But they have those, too) Very attentive service. Even though the restaurant is tiny (maybe 10 tables max), I was impressed that they still managed to accommodate most people as they came in. Small intimate size makes it perfect for a nice Thai meal on a cold winter day.
They seem to have a thriving carryout and delivery business. I'll be back to try some other stuff on the menu!
Delicious Thai food, generous portions, attentive staff - worth the wait. The server asked a couple to move a few minutes after they had been seated so our 4-top could fit and they graciously accommodated. I would definitely return, but not with more than one date.
Super yummy. My friend and I shared the duck noodle soup and basil seafood rice. The rice was Surprisingly spicy in a gentle way and the soup had a strong five spice flavor with a generous portion of duck. Ambiance was a bit mediocre but the food tasty.
Lovely little place. The service was attentive and congenial. And the food was simply delectable. We enjoyed green papaya salad, green chicken curry, and ba me duck. Loved it all, and the duck was an epiphany - crispy but light. A new family favorite. We shall return!
What a great authentic place to get Thai food. The ingredients are fresh and the small setting is perfect for an awesome date night or just an after work spot to stop in to. The staff was great and explained the menu so well to me. Loved the food start to finish!
The food here is phenomenal. I lived in Thailand for 6 months and this really brought me back. The papaya salad was exactly like I remember and the ingredients for both my orders were delicious and fresh. I'll definitely be back to get more.
After a long day of trying new things, like the Charm City Meadworks, it was time for dinner. My sister found this place online and we decided to try it. It is a small place, with few tables. We got in when it was pretty empty, but by the time we left it was filled. Everything we got was good! I especially liked the wide noodles.
