Our family of 7 was expecting to get take out, but the lovely lady at the counter insisted we stay and brought out an extra stool. I’m so glad we did. Everyone enjoyed their meal, from the chicken quesadilla to the Huge tortas, to the tacos al pastor. We are from El Paso and this place ranked up there with the food from the border.
After seeing this place on the cover of Baltimore Magazine for having the best Tacos in Baltimore.....I had to stop by. The tacos were great......I had a steak taco with the green sauce. The tortillas are made in house with a lot of love and labor.....as I found out while talking to the lady at the counter while waiting for my order. But, to my surprise, I fell in love with the Sopes!!! I must have more ASAP!!!! The sopes are kinda like tacos, but served on a thick round tortilla (that seemed to be fried or grilled) topped with refried beans and the meat of your choice. When I tell you these things are #smashworthy, I’m not joking! Get down to Fells Point and try some authentic Mexican Food.
Fantastic food and just delightful owners. Went in on a whim, and loved it so much we went back the next day before leaving town. Would recommend to anyone without hesitation. Get the chorizo, some of the best I've ever had.
Absolutely loved it! Had some amazing veggie sopas, chorizo tacos, and the Chicken milanesa Torta. The owner was so sweet and quick to recommend something new to try, Will definitely be back!
Amazing food and amazing people. Family run and the food is the best authentic Mexican I've had. Their tortilla is made from scratch and their spicy salsa is .
You need to check this place out if you are like me and miss great Mexican food living in Baltimore. Great staff, very friendly. Food was excellent, I seriously dreamt of the tacos. This is to me on par with what Isabella's in Little Italy is for me. If I am nearby I will be finding excuses to get their great food!
Had heard great things and was not disappointed! We tried tacos with steak, chorizo. Chicken , and carnitas. All the meats were tender and well seasoned. The house made tortillas are on a whole other level from what you usually get , I can’t say enough about them. Also tried the Huevos Rancheros which were fantastic, and their guacamole is super fresh and absolutely delicious. I love this place.
The best sea food caldo I’ve had in a while. Go say hi to Rosalyn and enjoy some authentic Mexican food.
So excited to have tried this place for the first time last week!! I had one of each of the vegetarian tacos and they were delicious! The tortillas were so good- possibly the best I’ve ever had. I particularly liked the nopales taco, which is something you can’t really get elsewhere in Baltimore. I love that they have so many veggie options! Their salsas were bright and spicy as well. And the prices were very reasonable! This will definitely my go-to taco spot going forward!!
We had the Barbacoa (Pit Braised Lamb) with the Consommé for Easter brunch. Absolutely delightful with the handmade tortillas. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal, we'll be back!!
Great spot. If I recall correctly it’s Mexico City style food! Really lovely staff and very cozy location.
My wife and I are Chicago Natives we know Mexican food
We have been living in Baltimore for 2 years now ..this is by far the Best Mexican food we have had in Baltimore .. the owner very welcoming ..
Great food, great people. Specials are always really good and can't go wrong with the menu staples.
Everything was amazing. I will be back again and again. The staff is incredibly friendly and all the food was delicious. I had tacos this time, next time a torta.
I'm from southern NM and have been in Baltimore 20 yrs. Now and again, I order tacos, hoping for a taste of home, but am usually somewhat disappointed. Not here! I've only had the al pastor and pollo with nopales & rajas, with "the works" and the salsa verde (so far.) And, um, it tasted like home. The corn tortillas were divine, the fillings perfect. In fact, better than my favorite tacos in NM (shhh, don't tell them.) I will be back. Also, I had a lovely chat with the owner. I recommend that too!
delicious food and truly excellent service from a group of invested people who are bringing us something genuine and filled with passion. truly fresh, truly handmade tortillas are a rare commodity in these "united states" and they make such a difference. still discovering my favorites here, but everything has been good and fresh with quality ingredients -- seems impossible to go wrong.
This place is quickly becoming a regular stop for me. Food has always been delicious, it's obvious they're agenda is to put out tasty dishes from the heart!
A wonderful little spot at the corner of a busy, vibrant corner of Baltimore. This latina owned business brings a creative and thoughtful take on Mexican street food. The tacos are made to perfection. The salsa is on point. The paleta's were so delicious...especially the mango and chamoy flavor. If you haven't yet, go support this business all while getting a tasteful meal, too.
Tortas here are delicious, tacos are good. Good deal to get 3 tacos for $12. I always go for corn tortillas so can’t speak for the flour or hard shell tacos. Pork taco was definitely my favorite taco, every Torta has been delicious.
This spot was okay. They don’t season their meat enough for my preference. It’s really hard to impress me with Mexican food though having lived in central and Southern California most of my life. I would try the other Mexican restaurant two doors down before coming back here again. Also They cut your burrito in half but like not all the way. So I went to grab one half and it started to fall apart. It’s very small inside by the way don’t expect to bring a large group to eat. There was one table and a bar table with 3 seats . This is more of a take out spot. I think there were a couple seats outside but not sure how many.
Fantastic food and large portions. I've never had a torta before, but this was a wonderful start. Tangy sauces, seasoned meats, and fresh vegetables made it worth the wait. Despite being a small place, it had a lot of business and it warranted.
I went here on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn’t too busy, which was good because the store is quite small and there are not a lot of seats. Although the food was a little bit on the pricey side, I think it was well worth it, because they gave a lot of meat and the sauces made it delicious. The entire shop is rather cute and I would definitely recommend this place.
The birria tacos were really good with a wonderful consomme. Probably the best tacos I've had in the Baltimore area. Everything was flavored well and the meal was very satisfying. It is pretty tight inside though, so seating can be tricky.
Do not hesitate! Matter of fact, RUN to this spot!!! OMG!!! La Bad Bunny is the best torta (sub) I’ve ever had in my life!!! At the corner of Broadway and Gouch, with outdoor seating, a couple tables inside, amazing staff, beyond incredible food! We’ve been dying to experience this food and it did not disappoint!!!
Absolutely delicious. For a split second, I considered placing another order right after finishing my food. 😂
Was a bit skeptical when ordering because my Spanish isn't the best, but there were no real issues and everything came pretty much as I wanted it. Don't hesitate like I did; it's worth it! Definitely recommend and would certainly come back if I'm in the area again.
Drinking their horchata was like having a religious experience. I would, have, and continue to drive half an hour for their food. Their carnitas burrito have me on my hands and knees every time. You will not regret eating here.
This place is small and cute. The Tacos and tamales tasted really good. They slightly messed up my order. I ordered two corn and one flour tortilla. They gave two shell and flour tortilla.
I would highly recommend this place.
I saw this restaurant on the TV PSA for vaccinations in Baltimore as we were searching for someplace to have lunch. I am so glad fate stepped in! The service was excellent and speedy. We chose to get our food to go and eat back at our hotel, but there was limited seating inside. It looks like when the weather is warm there is likely some seating outside as well. The food was so good I couldn't stop eating it even when my tongue was on fire from the spice! The chipotle sauce is no joke, but it's so good! We got chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, cheese and pepper tamales, and el esquelator (nacho fries). All were excellent! As a bonus, the art inside the restaurant was beautiful to look at while we waited for our food and I was happy to see the sign outside that it is a woman owned business (obviously by the name). We will definitely be back next time we visit the city!
Delicious food. You can tell it’s made with love! I was bummed I literally came to try the chilaquiles torta but they didn’t have any bread. Had to get just chilaquiles but they were delicious. They are not a super common dish and the places I’ve seen that serve them, they are not good. These transported me back to Mexico City. Staff was nice.
Probably the best tacod I've had on the east coast... says a girl from Cali.
Great taco spot. The cactus tacos were unexpectedly the best thing we tried (Al Pastor and the tamales were great too). Big menu for such a small place! The style was super cool inside and the staff were very polite. Can’t wait to come back!
Food is FANTASTIC and the service is really nice. It’s a small business and DESERVES your money. Go now. Quickly. Buy the carnitas and the horchata, you will not regret it. Also it loves the girls and the gays and Frida Kahlo.
Best Tamales I've ever had. Everything was delicious. No lie - I'm going back tomorrow. You should eat here.
This place is a hole in the wall in all of the best ways. Narrow, colorful location on the corner. Unique aesthetic inside and out. Menus are in binders. You can see into the kitchen when you walk in.
They have outdoor countertop seating (though it's getting a bit cold for that now - believe me, we tried) and some indoor space. Best bet right now is takeout or delivery.
Fantastic little place with huge, delicious portions. Not much indoor seating but the food is great.
I haven’t tried everything on their menu (yet) but I always go for their corn tortilla tacos. My current favorites are barbacoa, pibil, and chicken tinga. They remind me of the tacos I grew up eating on the west coast and the tacos I’ve had in Mexico. I will make the drive to Fells Point to eat anything they make.
