Best place in Hampden!. The new management has done a great job with the place. My husband & I usually take the kids to school & stop there almost everyday for breakfast before work. MIMI is a great waitress with a great attitude. They make your food exactly how you like it & dont get a attitude if you ask for your food to made a certain way like alot of waitresses do! There french toast, eggs, sandwiches & chef salad are amazing! We went there yesterday & did have a waitress that wasnt that friendly tho. I think she is new but not a good fit! We asked where was MiMi but she had off that day! When we take our kids there they are so good them. My boys love the place as well. Its a great little cozy place to read the paper (which is always available), drink coffee & enjoy great food!

Best breakfast in town. My husband and I are regulars for breakfast. Perfect eggs, bacon, hash-browns done to order. Great price; speedy service. Always clean. Always a smile. We have shopped around for our breakfast spot, and this is it. Not Pete's. Not Papermoon. The Lunch Box! They also open nice and early.

To the reviewer who notes there's a better restaurant across the street: We regularly see their staff walk over to the Lunch Box for carry-out!

The waitress about whom folks have complained no longer works there. You can count on friendly service.

Good breakfast. I had a very good breakfast there. Had an omelette that contained an ample amount of different breakfast meats served with excellent breakfast potatoes and toast. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere friendly and neighborish. Definiteely recommend for their breakfast omelettes at the very least.

Good. We went there for breakfast and the food was really good. Especially the eggs--perfect. They take no credit card at the moment (but apparently they plan to eventually) but there is an atm machine nearby at the 7-11.

The rude waitress doesn't work there anymore.

Food and new management. The food is great here at the lunch box in Hampden. The new management makes it fun to go there. As f or the rude waitress, she only works on Mon. Wed. and Sat. much to our regrets. She is rude and tries to make everyone think that she owns the place. She never says their or we or ours. She always says my counter, my bathroom, my doorway. The little korean waitress, MIMI. is much better. Come and try the food for yourself. Dont let any one tell you their opinion, You may like what someone else does not. It is a great little inexpensive place to eat and bring your family.

Hot made to order breakfast, generous serving, unbeatable price. Ordered the Avenue or an omelette with bacon, sausage, ham and cheese with grits, toast and a coffee all for $11.34...our go to breakfast spot located in Hampden. Feels like the place where everybody knows your name!

A hole-in-the-wall kind of breakfasr diner that has the most friendly employees. You can have an omelet with a coffee for less than $11.

Old fashioned breakfast/lunch in the shopping street. I hope they could update the manual with more veggies and put some decoration through the shop.

Order made to perfection...I wish he would just do renovation to his place so that more people could enjoy his food and things looked a lil more cleaner. But other than that food is amazing Tiffany the host is amazing. Very much an at home treat atmosphere for those of us can't cook or don't feel like it but want that cook at taste. 10 thumbs 👍🏾

This food was absolutely delicious! Watching the chef cook it all, was even better. Especially after I told him I didn’t eat pork and he cleaned the grill and cooked my food separate. A true around the way staple.

First off, best homefries around. Deal woth it. Second... this isn't gonna be everyone's vibe, but I love this place. There is no pretense here. A bar, a grill, and some tables. I'm so relieved that they weathered the Covid storm and haven't changed a bit. It's not some "preserved" piece of the past, but proof that not everything needs to be an a bougie fusion restaurant and art gallery to survive. Just be simple, affordable, tasty, and above all, be consistent, and people will keep coming home. Yeah, you might have to listen to an old white dude at the bar give a well-intentioned-but-misled rant about "woke" culture now and then, but you'll also usually find you're not the only one rolling your eyes, either. It's honestly refreshing to have some place in my life that's not just a carbon copy of my usual political "bubble." Everyone feels welcome at The Lunchbox and that's beautiful. I feel like place is a critical but often overlooked part of the soul of Hampden. I hope it never changes

It isn't amazing. But it is a decent standard breakfast. I recommend it to anyone who just wants breakfast without a lot of wait and fanfare.

I love a no frills good diner! Great breakfast and I love watching Dave at the grill! I call him the samurai grill warrior! Very clean and quick! Down home feel with all the real locals, no posers! If you have a old lunchbox to add to his collection bring it!

Great first experience this morning. Friendly and attentive waitress/hostess. Fresh, hot coffee. Quickly made meal and great portions. No complaints. Will definitely make this a regular spot going forward. Definitely a spot filled with regulars, which made it feel all that much more of a friendly space.
