If you think this places is like your grandfather's Oldsmobile, you're in for a most pleasant shock! Highly recommended, but in saying so I may not be able to sit for dinner at the bar or at one of the small tables.
Tried this unassuming little place in Mt. Washington for trivia on a Sunday night. Not a big variety on the menu, but what they cook up is pretty solid. The veggie burger is a handmade black bean patty, which surprised me. I expected a mass produced frozen patty. Seasoned fries are the way to go. Friendly service, laid back environment, and limited seating.
Great dive bar. Fast, friendly service. They have a small beer selection, but it's cheap. Food menu is also limited, but that means it's always fresh! I prefer to come in during off-peak times, as the regulars can be a bit annoying.

This place is definately a dive bar. There is literally enough parking in the front for 3 cars. The shops have an open lot a little up the road across from Pizza Boilis if there isn't any available. When you walk in you walk straight into the bar, it wraps around a little and there are a couple of ables by the front window and more at the end of the bar. The bar is fully stocked with about 6 beers on tap and daily specials. The sound system is the newest thing in the place along with the flat screen TVs (there are 3). The music sounds great in the space. The food is good and made to order. You can see the kitchen through a small window at the Bar. The staff is always polite and attentive. I ordered the BBQ Burger with curly fries. The burger was fresh and tasted good. Some of the curly fries we're cold when the food came to the table. It wasn't an issue for me just noticeable. With the platter came a huge pickle spear and probably two large McDonald's fry size orders. Let's just say I left food on the table. The atmosphere was chill for a Thursday night and they had football on. I'd like to go back to see what it's like when the Ravens are playing.
Yesterday, I stopped in for a beer at the Curb Shoppe located on Falls Road at Kelly, and what a fun little spot. I found it to be staffed by a very friendly owner, Paul, and some very chatty patrons. They also had some great daily specials including half-prices wings on Wednesdays and 25oz draft beer on Fridays for $4.50. Let's check them out sometime soon!
Classic local hangout. Amiable crowd, pool table, expanded selection of draft beers. No brewed iced tea is a bummer. Parking is non-existent. You're on your own. Worth the experience.
A classic Baltimore dive. Food is much better than you would expect - plus they have jello shots. Bartenders are fantastic: they have your next drink ready to go before you even order it.

Good wings. Good burgers. Good drinks. Don't expect fancy salad or fancy dinks or even a fancy beer selection. Just a friendly place to watch the game and have some bar food.

This place has THE BEST BBQ! I've tried the bbq across the country and this place is second to none. Great guy running the pit. Wait staff is wonderful. Don't miss it.
I stopped in unexpectedly and found this place to be quite the gem. I was made to feel comfortable right away. The service was good and steady. Also the food turned out to be pretty good at a reasonable price.
A hangout alternative to the Mt Washington Tavern...locals mostly but friendly. Good food value priced drinks with specials each day. Go Shoppin' you'll have fun.
been coming here off and on for 25 years. great neighborhood bar with incredibly friendly staff and great food. well worth stopping in if you are in the mt washington area
The perfect dive bar for the MT. Wash resident. Good crowd for ravens games. Have not had food there.

It's a great place to just relax drink a few beers shoot pool have good conversation the food is great the owner and employees are excellent couldn't ask for a better place to catch a Raven or Orioles game
First down baby first down. Next time we're getting the full forty yards. I don't care if you're SiCk with cancer you'll be in better spirits once you end up at the curb.
