Hidden gym in Baltimore! Don’t expect the red carpet treatment; however, staff are helpful in assisting you with making a food selection. Very clean and great musical vibes.
Food: every-time I’ve come, I’ve always tried to order something different. To try new and exotic things. Always happy and satisfied. FLAVORFUL, tender, and hot. I have no complaints. The food has gotten smaller over the last year but I’m still left satisfied.
*Try the OHA soup
I can honestly say that the last couple of times I've visited the service has drastically improved. Thankfully, they made an improvement to the interior for it to be more inviting & it smells soooo much better. Before, I'd be holding my breath when I entered as the smell was beyond overpowering & stuck to your clothes also. You get ample portions of jollof rice & the meat pieces are big as well. I do wish that they filled up the Egusi & other soup portions in the bowl. I always have to pick out bones though in the Egusi soup before I attempt to eat it. It's better to pay with cash as they charge a fee on top of tax to use a card. Parking is on the street & usually non-existent.
I got the okra soup w/ yam it was delicious. Meat is a little tough to my liking but that’s normal for the culture. Only problem I have is I got soup and extra and neither bowl was full. I pretty much got one full soup, for the price they really should have filled one of the bowls up. Even though, I would go back it had a great favor and it’s really hard to find delicious okra soup that taste authentic!
They give wayyyy too much rice with not enough of everything else. My container was packed with jollof rice. I also had plantain and 2 pieces of goat meat. With barely any meat on it. I could've just ordered a side of rice if I just wanted rice. My friend really enjoyed all of his food. Freshly prepared food. Just not happy with the way the servings were divided.
Ordered tray of jollof and chicken. It was good.
Their meatpie is better than others I have had. Got 6 at first. Drove back to order half a tray. Yes, it was that good. Crust not too crusty, and the filling was moist and tasty.
This place is one of the best African restaurants in the Baltimore area. The Egusi and Okra are especially good, and they give a good amount of meat too. They changed the atmosphere from pre-pandemic times, and it now looks like a very good place for a date. Great food, great atmosphere
Okay listen this is the best African food in the whole Baltimore City. You will not be disappointed. Just try it and you will be convinced. I don't write reviews but I had to because this restaurant never falters. . period point blank!!!!!
Great food. Been coming here for years. Authentic Nigerian cuisine.
This was my first visit. I had egusi soup with pounded yam ans beef. I also ordered jollof rice with chicken and plantains. The egusi was awesome 👌🏾 .the jollof was a lil too spicy for me and the chicken was different, not what im use to but my 11yr old loved it!!
Always love coming here, The Egussi is always consistent and delicious flavor. Favor always gets my order right and their meat pies are also good.
Yo, son! STRAIGHT UP BANGING!!!! oh em gee ... Mhm mhm mhm. In a mad search for something hot healthy and delicious I randomly passed this place and boy is my stomach and spirit thankful I did! Very clean, Ms Grace was friendly and very welcoming. Asking if it were my first time and offered a suggestion. I got my meal to go but I definitely wouldn't mind coming back to dine in. The spinach is out of the world scrumptious!!!! Plantains cooked perfectly and everything was hot and flavorful. I'm so thankful I stopped and gave it a try.
Customer service very good. Jolof and Turkey very good A, but Taste and flavor of equsi and efo riro just not up to par. B- compared to Nigerian mother cooking.
I accompanied a friend to get dinner. The meal was ordered, and we just had to pick it up. The meal was actually yummy and sumptuous
We were looking for an outside caterer for a reception at Martins West. We tried a few caterers and Mr. Saviour was one of the first caterers to submit the required documentation to Martin's West.
The pricing was reasonable and his customer service was top notch. We ordered some food a few times before the event and we were not disappointed.
Another caterer was going to charge extra (a lot) for having someone stay with the food as requested by Martin's West. Mr. Saviour did not. I offered to pay the attendant tip.
We got a lot of compliments about the Nigerian food (Jollof rice, fried rice, and assorted meat). One of our non Nigerian friends liked the Jollof rice so much, he tried to recreate it at home. He reported it wasn't as good as Saviour's Jollof.
We would definitely keep ordering from here and hire them again for catering services.

I had a lovely time and the food was fantastic. I got the Egusi soup with fish with pounded yam fufu and plantains . Omg so delicious. it was my first time and experience eating Nigerian food.. I had the pleasure of meeting et the owner as well. (Great guy) I will certainly return. I traveled 2 hours with a friend to try out this restaurant. It meant my expectations and more.
Be prepared to wait but the egusi is sooo good. Don't get if you have a shellfish allergy
