The Tarratine Club building is a beautiful historic landmark. Each room offers a lovely and intimate atmosphere with thoughtful, warm decor. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, keeping glasses filled and taking care of needs while still managing to be inconspicuous. The food was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly to order, and with generous portioning. The chef paid a personal visit to the table and graciously accepted lavish praise (and a smidge of criticism, however unwarranted) from a few members of our party. It was more than a dinner - it was a wonderful experience. This Florida girl enjoyed it thoroughly.
Fabulous experience! Great food (the halibut was excellent!), great staff, the many rooms all have historical cachet and it makes also for privacy and comfort in terms of social distancing. The rooftop has great views of Bangor, and a bar with more cocktails. Would benefit from more lounge style sofas and armchairs than chairs and the possibility for quick bites/appetizer types (not seated dinners)
Late review but nonetheless better than never. Was taken to the Tarratine on my birthday by surprise. Food was amazing, bar area was very loud. Bar area definitely not an intimate spot for a date but did seem like a fun area. I am intrigued to see what other areas of the place has to offer. I will definitely be going again.
We went here for our first date night since our baby was born and it was perfect! It was gorgeous! Food was delicious and service was A+++! We will definitely be back.
We had our rehearsal dinner here- the building and rooms are beautiful and the rooftop is gorgeous! The service and food were great! Moderately pricey menu but worth it! Had I known how awesome this venue was we would’ve just had our small wedding there! Thanks for all your care and accommodations- with love, the newlyweds, Jim and Monica
Attended a wedding Saturday afternoon following into the evening, the help was impeccable, the dinner was delicious and lacking nothing! Decor for Christmas was unforgettable and really added to the wedding festivities! If you want an memorable experience this is the place to choose.
I have been to the Tarratine twice, The first time wasn't the greatest experience and I made a review about it. I had a munificent offer from one of the managers and I decided to give them a second chance because everyone deserves a second chance, my date and I went last Friday and it was amazing it totally changed my point of view for this restaurant. I had ordered a filet mignon which was spectacular and so flavorful and my date ordered these BBQ sliders which we both loved, and for dessert we had a homemade brownie a la mode and that was perfect. I talked with the owner of the Tarratine and apologized for the review and said how they totally changed my opinion on the Tarratine and will for sure come back, and I do plan on it soon because this restaurant is more than just a place to eat, you can do so many other things and that's one of the reasons why I love this place
Satisfied our Saturday dinner here. A nice fine dining! It was great. I am so glad to have them in Bangor.
