My wife & I have decided Kettell has amongst the best pizza we've had anywhere. In addition the service is excellent, and they always have a fine selection of their own beers and ales. Most recently I had their Velvet Panda Oatmeal Stout - excellent!
Dropped in on a rainy day with kids and have no complaints. Games in the back for them. Nice atmosphere. Grabbed a flight and sat to look at the brewing area. Mark has many of his recipes dialed in with great water chemistry. As far as bartender, he was as knowledgeable as he could be and my kids gave him no reason to correct their behavior as some previous reviewers have noted. Maybe I was paying attention to mine 😉
Picked up the Oktoberfest at Fred’s on the Mountain. Good crisp marzen style beer.
Incredibly kind service from the bartender. Beers were great. Offered flights so I was easily able to try all four. The melon kolsch was my favorite and I’ve definitely never had a beer like it before. They had a small food menu that offered some quick bar food that looked quite good though my party did not try any of it. They had a small game room in the back and provided a couple table games for quests to play while in the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.
Casual atmosphere. Shuffleboard is fun with a group. Reasonably priced. Soft pretzel was excellent. Lager was good. Solid flight option. Our group liked this stop!
Great little place! Had. Melon Krolsch and a pizzadilla. Both were excellent!
We went here during our family vacation and had a fantastic time. The staff was great. The food was great and the beer was fantastic. Will definitely go again

Kinda off the beaten path but pleasantly surprised. Great service and a wide variety of home brews. Loved the atmosphere, despite being really close to college campuses.

Great beer, amazing food, and a lovely bartender. She was so cheery! We had the thin crust pizza, wings, and the pretzel with stone ground mustard and we highly recommend any of them. All four beers (out of 9) were equally good. If you're in the banner elk area, definitely stop by! It was a quiet and nice atmosphere as well, even for a busy Saturday night.

We found this gem tooling around Banner Elk after a day of snow skiing. They have a very cool taproom with a strong community vibe. The staff members were extremely welcoming, and the service was terrific. The barkeep quizzed me and recommended their Supernova India Pale Ale. What an excellent recommendation! The Supernova is well-crafted, aromatic, and packed with flavor. If you like mandarin oranges, you’ll pick up on the hints of this delicious fruit. I had to get a four-pack to take home; it was so good. Well done Kettell Beerworks! We will be back soon!
