There is no place like Lucilles. Excellent homemade food, cooked to perfection. A very clean restaurant. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for the perfect place to eat, and the best of service. The homemade pies, well, we never go there without bringing one home. Yesterday it was peach. When you stop there YOU will see for yourself. I promise

Great food; great prices, just remember to bring cash - otherwise you need to use their ATM - wish this place was closer - I would eat here every day - friendly, happy service - always!

We are on our way back for day 2 of brunch this week. It's that good. My cheesesteak omelette was out of this world. The waffles are light and delicious. Our server and owner, Karen, was a sweetheart. Her Mom, Lucille, I'm sure is very proud smiling down from Heaven.

Lucille was one of my best friends for almost 30 years. I miss her so much. I loved to go there because she was so much fun. Her family has now become my family and I still enjoy my time there and the delicious food they serve.

My husband and I were there today. Our waitress was amazing! She didn't miss a beat and she was a hoot! Tuckerton girl all the way!!!! We both had omelets! I have never had such a well stuffed omelet that was so light! Sour dough toast was delicious! Home fries and onions just as delicious! We also purchased a forest fruit pie to go which was delicious!

My wife and I had breakfast at Lucille's for the first time and we can't wait to go back. The service was fantastic. They really make you feel like family. Anyone can do eggs and toast, but if you come here you must try the biscuits and gravy. We also took home a peach pie and it's the best pie I've ever had in my life. So do yourself a favor and stop here for breakfast or lunch. Don't let distance be an excuse, we live an hour and a half away. This place is legendary.

I had a great time driving through the Jersey Pines and stopped by for breakfast. The staff was friendly, the food great and the atmosphere of quiet country living amazing! Even bought a “I ate with the Jersey Devil” shirt! Thank you for making my stay enjoyable…

This place was good. Their Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich was perfect. The cinnamon thing I got was pretty good it was topped with walnuts. My wrap was ok. The lettuce was wilted from it being grilled and it could have used sauce like balsamic dressing or mayo. The place was packed when we went, but we hope it won't be as bad when all the beach goers leave after this season. I would go back.

Great, small eatery with friendly staff and amazing food. Definitely worth the stop, or the trip, to this hidden gem! Try the toasted sticky bun, you won't be disappointed! Will definitely be going back here for sure, which seems to be what happens with many who eat here - the restaurant has tons of regulars which is always a great sign!

If you crave mouth watering, down-home country cooking, Lucille’s Country Cooking is the FIRST place and in my opinion, the only place you should come! It stands on Main, country like/ county road in Barnegat Twp. set in a very country surrounding. So not only is the food down home country but so is it’s surroundings and environment. It feels like you’ve left NJ and went down south! Absolutely proud that it actually is in Southern NJ or as we say South Jersey. You can sit outside on the covered patio, or umbrella covered picnic tables or inside. Just about any dish you try is absolutely savory and you can taste the home country cooking. Their portions are generous and prices are fair for the portions and experience you have. They are a family run place and open from 8am-2pm Tues-Sunday. They also bake fresh homemade pies and desserts for purchase to take out as well as sell the famous Jersey Devil Merchandise. I had the biscuits and gravy meal that I can happily say was the BEST homemade biscuits and gravy I’ve had that includes having had down south and even at the most classic diners. Every element of this dish is home-made from the fresh baked biscuits, shredded home fries, the whole fresh sausage and homemade gravy. My party also indulged in a BLT sandwich with fries and a fresh made to order omelet with tomatoes, peppers and onions, gluten free toast and home fries. Don’t forget to have a steaming hot cup of coffee there too. If you’re into four wheeling and off road Jeep mudding/riding, come on by with your vehicle. They welcome you with open arms and plenty of parking. It’s also a hot spot for classic cars and Harleys!

I rarely give five stars to anything. But my visit to Lucille's was excellent all the way around. I went for breakfast. Staff was prompt, super attentive, and super friendly. Coffee was really good and it came in an oversized cup with a longer than normal spoon. Omelet was large, delicious and the extra ingredients were fresh and tasty. Toast was actually toasted, crunchy good with plenty of butter. Home fries were real potatoes with onions and delicious. We were a party of three, we sat at the counter, and when the super friendly waitress learned it was our first time there, the staff got together to announce we were first timers and everyone cheered! Our visit to Lucille's was super enjoyable and we look forward to going back! Highly recommend! Update: I have gone back to Lucille's several times since my initial visit. I love Lucille's! It's absolutely my favorite place to get breakfast. The omelets are sort of burrito style, meaning the egg is cooked in a big circle, the added ingredients (cheese, onions, etc) go on top, then the egg is folded over to close it up. Host Kim is the very best. So good!

Very small breakfast and lunch spot that has amazing food. Very friendly service, popular among locals. Jersey Omelette is one of the best Omelettes I have ever had, Very cheesy! We had to wait a while, the restaurant is tiny, but worth the wait. Cash or venmo only. ATM on site but was out of service. Scrapple was delicious, cooked to perfection. We come every year when in the neighborhood.

This was my first time there. They were very busy (it was a Sunday after all) and short staffed. EVERYONE was super friendly and kept a smile on their faces! The food was great! Portions were reasonable. We even bought 2 whole pies to go. All I can say is sooo yummy! Our bill was $86 for 4 people and that included the 2 pies. Will definitely be back when we visit our friends again!

We went on a Sunday and it was extremely busy. However, the staff was very friendly, apologetic and accommodating. My omlette was very good, however my husband was not a fan of his sausage gravy and biscuits breakfast. Some of the dishes that passed by us looked very enticing, especially the whole tomato stuffed with tuna, or chicken. They are known for their pies and had a nice variety stacked by the cash register. We did not buy one as we thought the $18 price was a little expensive. This was a cute place to have breakfast, with limited, close seating indoors and ample outdoor seating.
