Perfect! Sakura is the best place with sushi around, Great sizes of food and love the atmosphere, the waitress is a sweetheart
Good service. I found the wait staff very helpful and willing to go above and beyond. The amount of food was very generous as well.
One of Batesvilles best restaurants. The grill is fantastic and the staff are very friendly. Note about the address though; Sakura is inside the new Pioneer Plaza shopping center at 2696 Harrison Street and not at 3000 Jennings Lane as shown on some apps. 3000 Jennings Lane will take you to a private home in the middle of a residential suburb.
Sit at the Grill. My first visit was less than satisfactory. We chose to sit in the dining room so we didn't have to wait. We were not acknowledged for fifteen plus minutes, we never had a designated server, my entree came out warm (not cold, but certainly not hot), and my sushi came five minutes after I finished my entree and was some of the worst sushi I have ever had. My second visit was much improved. We sat at the grill and were waited on promptly. I ordered a different roll, although still cut too big, it was very good. You get a lot more bang for the buck at the grill, serving sizes are much larger and you can be certain it comes hot off the grill.
This restaurant is more pricey than similar restaurants in the area, but the quality of the food is so much better. The service was friendly, and the food was delicious. The decor was cute, and the tables were spaced out nicely for us to sit and enjoy our meals. Based on food quality, this is one of the best options in Batesville. Give it a try if you are in the area!
This is something I think the owner needs to see. The food was alright, and service was decent. However, my issue is about the menu, (particularly the lunch menu) and Sundays. I did not see any fine print about lunch not being offered on Sundays. My girlfriend and I ate there this past Sunday, and we we ready to order from the lunch menu. The waitress told us we can’t, and have to order from the dinner menu on Sundays. We didn’t want to pay dinner prices for lunch. I also I find this a little unprofessional because there was nothing on the menu saying we couldn’t do that. When I brought that to the attention of the waitress, she said, “well, there’s a sign at the front door” No one is going to read every sign at the door and memorize them before sitting down. Also, the sign was at the door… facing away from the door. The only way any one could read the sign was when they were leaving. Again, not complaining, but I just think the owners should put something in the menus about that so it doesn’t change peoples plans when ordering.
Japanese steak houses are my all time favorite type of restaurants. The chefs here prepare the food deliciously, and the servers are without fail excellent. My only complaint is that I do not get along with "yum yum sauce' and while you can request a different salad dressing, I wish there was an option for fried rice without it.
Super nice people. The food was great. And A lot to choose from.
We got to the restaurant 30 minutes before closing after lunch. They didn't act like we were a bother. The food was great as usual.
The food was great, we did the hibachi grill and it was cool. It was my first time going, and I thought it was a delightful experience. He waitress however was rude and demanded a tip. She only got a dollar and a note, saying she should smile more and be better waitress for better tips.
Sakura's is always a pleasant experience. Nice and quiet (unless you opt for the habachi grill of course!) And wonderful sushi as well.
You will most definitely have leftovers. The food is sort of pricey, but watching them cook it and how much food you get in my opinion is worth the price.
