Always had positive experiences. Today, sat, was ignored, overlooked and passed over. Never acknowledged. Walked out and went to Kona. Will likely return,maybe a bad day for staff?
You're not waiting forever to be seated, the staff members are very friendly. There's really pretty art in glass frames that upon closer inspection are actually pizza boxes. I definitely recommend the lemongrass chicken - it's delicious!
We wound up here when checking out Perkins Rowe. Great location, right next to the green space with benches, across from the movie theatre I believe. We had a nice outdoor table with some great people watching. Ordered the pepperoni pizza and it was absolutely perfect. Can't wait to go back!
Good Family atmosphere. This is a great family restaurant. I normally get weary about chain restaurants but I have to say I was very impressed. The kids menu was what really got me. I'm so used to just sharing with my kid due to kids menu's that are half way put together. Like the child is a second thought. As my little one eats almost anything i put in front of them it was nice to see a more expansive menu. Just really impressed so kudos to ya'll.

Wow things must have really changed in the past 3 years. It was crowded, but we were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress was a total sweetheart. Our food came out fast and was fresh and delicious. The liquor was a little pricey, but honestly what restaurants isn't? If your looking for Cajun spicy type stuff this is not the place. It's a California pizza. Lots of fresh items on the menu not deep fried soul food. It's great for what it is.
Food is really good, but the wait staff is either good or horrible. My wife had a waitress THROW some condiments onto the table with children seated. I was seated once and waited 13 minutes for a waiter to show up at all. Good news is tht you can plan to save the tip because you will not have a reason to give one.

SO Yummy!. We ordered the meat lovers pizza and the jambalaya pasta. VERY, VERY good!!!! My nephew liked their mac and cheese. Can't wait to go back! I saw another table order a tostada pizza that looked amazing. Love that it is within a block or two of a movie theater, book store and a Charming Charlie's! The only negatives are that it can't be seen from the street and it can be a bit tricky finding a close parking spot. You have to drive into a lovely "mini community" (it has it's own grocery store, church, etc all within walking distance.) Next time I'll try the parking garage, even though I'll have to walk just a bit more.
Yes, Good tacos at CPK. Good service and polite staff. Pork Carnitas Tacos are maybe the best Tacos in BR. Also like the Greek Pizza. The Staff up front could get people seated faster and turn over tables faster....
I don't usually like chain restaurants but I make an exception for California Pizza Kitchen. My wife has gluten and milk allergies and the kitchen is always accommodating. I am not a huge fan of the other menu items but I haven't found a pizza that I didn't enjoy.
Stick to the pizza...everything else is kinda weird.
Great!. They don't have any private rooms for parties or events that I am aware of, but they have a very large patio that has some of the best people watching in Baton Rouge (Perkins Rowe)! Would be fun to reserve a large table out there for a small event.
I love the salads here! I find them fresh, healthy, creative and perfectly portioned! BBQ Chicken salad is my go-to. The place is very open and airy, which I like, and a lot of attention to detail went in to the kids menu, which is nice to find at a busy restaurant.
Loved the egg roll appetizer and the pizza but the noodle dishes were less than appetizing. We also got 3 different desserts and the kids loved them all! Service is kindof shady but the food is good.

It's a chain.... But it wasn't bad food. However, I sat at the bar where you can see them make your pizza. The kitchen staff seem to be falling behind in making the pizzas. I saw the manager helping out by putting the pizzas in the oven once they were prepared. The restaurant was not crowded and I did witness a customer complain about their waitress.
BBQ Chicken Salad. The BBQ chicken chopped salad is my favorite dish on the menu. Their pizzas are very good as well, a little on the pricey side... Also, they sell frozen pizzas in the grocery store, and my husband and I buy them quite often. Very good!
I totally enjoy this place!! The service and food is great! I always request to sit in the same waiter's area because he is so accommodating.

I'll be back!. We tried CPK on a recent Friday night. I generally plan to eat out early to avoid a wait but it didn't work out that way on this evening. We were quoted a 20-25 minute wait which was right on. I ordered Kung Pao Spaghetti with chicken and my husband ordered Pan Sauteed Salmon.
Our food took a while to get to us but the restaurant was really busy and because our server apologized, checked on our order in the kitchen, and had the manager come by our table we didn't mind. It's the times when no one seems to care that frazzles our nerves. Besides, our wait wasn't extraordinarily long, just a bit longer than average.
Both of us enjoyed our chosen entrees. I like food spicy....REALLY spicy. So to show my hubby how tough I was, I decided to try to eat one of the red peppers in the Kung Pao. NOT a good idea. They were possibly the hottest food I've ever tasted.
I ordered dessert to go: Sticky Toffee Cake. For over $6 the size was underwhelming. It was maybe 3" square and 3/4" thick and came with a scoop of ice cream. Unfortunately they packed the ice cream in a thin plastic box which didn't do much to slow the melting process on the drive home.

Problems in Kitchen. I really like the food, and frequent CPK in other cities when I travel. The one in Baton Rouge needs to get it together. Their kitchen is so slow that I can no longer eat here. It took me over an hour to get my food from the time I ordered. I noticed many other tables having similar problems. This has happened 3 out of my last 4 visits to this location. This location has been open 8 months, and I think the service has become progressively worse. I will not be back until I hear they have changed management.
