One of the few remaining bakeries in New York City making genuine Italian pastries..........After avoiding the place because of poor products for the last 3 years under a different owner, I discovered new owners had taken over and the food there is magnificent. I was surprised to find the Italian cheesecake was nearly identical to what my mom made for 60 years! The cannolis are the freshest I have tasted in recent memory...... you will have a hard time finding better.............they make their own pastry shells and use fresh ricotta cheese resulting in a VERY Delicious dessert so true to real Italian bakeries! I felt the need to review this establishment because places like this are becoming harder and harder to find! If this place does not please you, then you really haven't experienced good Italian pastries! And if you think they are expensive, go to a supermarket and buy Entemanns! You get what you pay for......
Once again, Francis Lewis Pastry Shoppe has exceeded my expectations. My nephew's 3rd grade class went on a class trip here a few weeks ago. From the warm welcome by the friendly staff, to the baking lesson by Pastry Chef John, to the delicious paninis and gelato for lunch, my nephew keeps raving about his experience. It was a wonderful experience that all the teachers and students enjoyed. I will be recommending this class trip idea to my daughter's teacher for next year!

OMG. The best Pignole cookie I have ever had. YOu can drive all around Flushing and not find a nicer family bakery than this. My mom turned me on to them after she had their Red Velvet Cake, which was great!!
We are really thankful to Francis Lewis Pastry Shoppe, their service and delicious pastries, cookies and Italian biscotti made our day at work ! ! ! We started fighting cause we all wanted to eat them all :-) Try them, you will NOT be disappointed.
