This is my favorite sandwich place on Bay St! I love the selection of food and it's all so good. I've eaten here a few times and tried many different items, including sandwiches, hot dogs, and ice cream. There have been a few occasions where they couldn't make what I wanted, but the servers worked with me to find an alternative that's just as good. I love stopping by here when I walk downtown and I try to bring people by whenever they visit.

5 stars for effort! They were one of a few eateries on Bay Street that were open on Memorial Day and they were feeling the pressure. But the staff all kept their cool and worked extra hard and were still very polite and friendly to all their patrons. We got the Southern Nights hot dog and the Big Chill chili dog. Both were very good. The dogs themselves were quite good with a nice ‘snap’. And for dessert we had a delicious chocolate malt.
Loved this place! I felt like I walked back into the 50s. The classic music was enjoyable, and the decorations reminded me of being in a movie. I have never had Pistachio ice cream drizzled in hot chocolate. It was amazing! They have a very big collection of rare combinations, with a lot of varieties. It's a perfect place for stopping by after a long hot walk up Bay St. on a sunny day!
Beautiful old time ice cream parlor, and the BEST ICE CREAM in Beaufort. Unbelievably reasonable prices. Sandwiches are also terrific - try the LT DAN!! Set back from Bay Street a little (inside the Old Bay Market Place) so look for the movable signs on the sidewalk. Well worth a try if you are visiting town like I was today. If I were a local, I would eat here all the time.
Wonderful service and even better ice cream. We had the Hunting Island Turtle Attack and it was great! If you have never had a butter pecan sundae, give it a try!

We stopped in here last week. The ice cream was delicious and the laid-back owner - Milt - was fabulous to schmooze with. He grew up in Beaufort and came back home after a career that took him around the world.
Milt had great recommendations regarding restaurants where the "locals" go for dinner. We followed his advice and had a scrumptious dinner on the water. Also, his wife and he own a nearby very cute pet gift store.
Go for the yummy ice cream; get a local tour guide for no extra charge!!

Amazing ice cream place, my daughter ice cream fell off her cone and they gave us a whole another scoop. They have always been very nice!

Stopped for ice cream while in town for the water festival. Very nice little ice cream and sandwich shop. Staff was very friendly and service was fast and very good. There was a customer sitting at a table talking on her phone, with the speaker, so everyone could here the conversation. The staff asked her to please turn the speaker off. Thank you no one wants to here for phone conversation. The ice cream was delicious. Did not order any food so can't comment on that.
Good ice cream sundaes and milkshakes. Service a bit slow even though we were the only people there.
The staff is great - curteous, knowledgeable, and cohesive. They work together well. The food is good! Think old time soda shop diner with great sandwiches and 'dogs. Milkshakes are awesome!

Hunting Island Sea Turtle was great and the small sundae was pretty big for the price.
