One of the more fine dining places in Beaufort, North Carolina. You're going to need reservations to get in. We happen to go during a cold night and were able to sit outside on the patio with the heaters and bypass the craziness of inside. I would highly recommend this restaurant. They've got a really good drink menu and I highly recommend the 47 Ronin. I went with the noodle bowl and a combination of shrimp and scallops and it was excellent. Don't forget the dessert trio too. The banana's foster is to die for and they make it table side.

The meal was great…so much so I forgot to take a picture of our appetizers. Artichokes for me. Tuna poke for my husband. Our meal. I had a crab cake. My husband the duck. Both were tasty. We sat at bar and BJ was delightful to chat with! Staff was gracious and kind.

We had an stunning meal at Aqua last night. Everything from the cocktails to the dessert was very well presented and tasted amazing. The service was great and we will definitely return. If visiting Beaufort you must try Aqua.

Our night at Aqua was amazing. Coming from a retired chef I can honestly tell you this is a five-star restaurant. Excellent food, beautiful presentation, fantastic staff and terrific chefs.

Aqua is one of my favorite restaurants in Carteret County. Sat outside on the porch. With the heaters running it was really comfortable. Music playing from Backstreet Pub. It was nice. Service as always was top notch as was the food. They have changed the menu some since our visit which I throughly appreciate. Everyone needs to change their menu up every now in then. I had Sea and Shore. Filet and Grouper over veggies and taters. My wife had the noddle bowl. Doesn’t sound like much but holy cow that one’s good. Shrimp, scallops, and tuna over noodles(green) and some kinda curry and coconut milk sauce. Maybe some cabbage? Whew… good stuff. Then for dessert, chocolate mousse. Once again out of the park!! You gotta try this place. You’re going to spend some money but remember, you get what you pay for.

I came to Beaufort on a getaway by myself and a friend suggested Aqua. I sat at the bar and everything from start to finish was amazing. I started with the artichoke app and George, my amazing bartender, talked me into getting the filet paired with a crab cake. It had a demi glaze on top that was to die for. I was drinking a Pinot noir which was delicious. I ordered the bananas foster dessert and it came with a whole show (don’t leave them without trying it). I got the Verdict martini which was an espresso like martini with Kaluha and other things. It came with flambéed mini marshmallows. Absolutely delicious. Thanks George for making this experience wonderful. I highly recommend this place! Just have to edit my review to let everyone know I came back for a second night in a row and had a new bartender—Bar daddy Dar. He was also great and I had another lovely experience at Aqua! I tried the Caesar salad and mussels this time. You have to try these out if you are here! They are both so good and the broth in the mussels is super delicious! Thanks Bar daddy Dar, George, Quninton, and the whole Aqua team for two great experiences in a row!

I dropped the ball with the pictures...like usual. But pretty bad on this one...sorry! But, the place was great. Our server was super friendly and attentative. We started with some fancy drinks and didn't find one from the list we didn't like. We started with the mussels for our app, EXCELLENT! I had the surf n turf option, with the fresh catch. Seafood was amazing and the filet was delicious! Wife got the shrimp salad and she loved it. In one pic you see the after dinner pallet cleanser. Lol this was good and set us up nicely for a HUUUUUGE and delicious creme Brule. Great spot, tucked away behind others. Quiet spot and nice outdoor seating. You won't be disappointed.

Food was just exquisite, great ambience and an extensive wine and spirits list. They offer selected cocktails and twist on some Martinis, I had one of them and it was really good. I bet other cocktails are equally good. I was seated at the bar and had the privilege to see Trish make them. She was extremely friendly and fun to chat with. This place came highly recommended from a bartender in New Bern and even though I had to get to Raleigh by tonight and Beaufort is in opposite direction yet it was absolutely worth the extra drive back & forth.

This was my second visit. It was just as good as I remembered. We had the fried pimento cheese and hummus appetizers. Both were good but the fried pimento cheese was better. 2 had the grouper special. I had the crab cake. 1 had the petite fillet. We all cleaned our plates. It was that good. Everyone had a good time.

Some of the best food I have had in my life. We got the red drum catch of the day which was super fresh and amazing, the carrot puree was so delicious. My sister got the noodle bowl with tuna / scallop / shrimp and a chili coconut broth a little heat but not overpowering. We got the dessert sampler which was beautiful and flavorful! Thank you for a wonderful night and a great experience! Johnathan our water was also great as well as the host.

Stopped in without a reservation but was able to be seated. We were lucky to get Trish, a top level server who clearly knows her trade. CJ, another server, helped especially with dessert, and also was incredible. That’s the best way to describe Aqua, who gets what a fine culinary institution is about - great food and a great experience, not pretension. So many places of this quality forget that. Despite us being a bit wind blown and under dressed from a very long day, we were welcomed. I wish I recall the managers name because it’s a crime not to, as he runs a great place and clearly cares about it. The food was fabulous - the way it works is that you order tapas for an appetizer - or several as the meal. The small plates are perfect for an entree after splitting an appetizer or two. You will not be hungry. We received a complementary small starter from the kitchen - a lovely touch. We had the shrimp and grits and artichoke appetizers. Both were flavorful and interesting without being over spiced. For dinner we had the local catch which was fresh local scallops - to die for - and the local eastern NC crab cake which to my palate is better than Maryland style. Dessert was bananas foster, and well worth the splurge. The bar is well stocked - I spied great Port options. The wine list is excellent. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable, and the outside seating is spacious. Oddly, they didn’t have any of their sister breweries products on tap, but that’s a quibble. Want New York City quality with a Beaufort welcome? You found it. Just don’t tell anyone when I’m in town, because I need a seat! We will be back. Note: this establishment shares ownership with Clawson’s and with Fishtowne Brewing. A fine example of a restaurant group making a town better with great diverse properties.

We've eaten here countless times in the past 15 years. And I should have written 5 star reviews during that time - my bad! THAT'S how good and consistent the staff, service, and food has been! During those years many people, like us, have participated in the every second Tuesday wineOrama because of the great wines made available to enjoy with your dinner. Usually it is 4, sometimes 5 wines, poured by staff and discussed by the wine distributor for a very reasonable price. These wines are then available for purchase. We find it is the perfect amount to consume with dinner, especially if driving home is more than a little distance! On this visit we enjoyed an arugula salad, a grilled petite filet, and the red drum fish special. I can honestly say we've never had anything other than an excellent meal with fresh ingredients, attentive service, and creative flair, for a reasonable fine dining price! Our server PJ was especially nice and made the evening more fun because of his excellent attitude. Support local and come out to Aqua!

Delicious dinner!! I had the petite filet- it was cooked perfectly. Whatever the scalloped potato thing it was served with was to die for. Also at our table was the fresh catch red drum and crab cake, which were both delicious. Ended with the bananas foster and the crème brûlée. Biggest crème brûlée I have ever seen! And the bananas foster was incredible. Also had a delicious espresso martini. Will absolutely return.

One of our favorite places in Beaufort. Our party has not been there in a while so we decided to go for a late reservation. OUTSTANDING. We got a couple appetizers, entrees, and desert. Plus cocktails. Wow it was just delicious. The staff was also amazing. Highly recommend.

Amazing food! Loved dinner. Wine night with 33% off bottles. Menu is not extensive but just right. Vegetarian options, seafood, steak and lamb. Modern interpretation of classics. Sauces were so good. Loved the duck wings and artichoke.

Went into Aqua as the first stop on the foodie tour. They were very accommodating without reservations, we sat at the bar and had a great friendly knowledge laden bartender. Free focaccia and a boursin cheese mousse bourgie started the night. My blackberry Dr. Stoners vodka martini (out of Virginia beach) by Trisha was amazing and fresh! Her personality matched and exceeded the food flavors. We tried the local catch (seared scallop) zomg, with pureed root veggies. It was cooked perfectly with water cress, mushrooms, and radish. Go here now!

You really can't go wrong in Beaufort with food, but Aqua is an absolute must. I was there for a three day weekend and ate there twice. The chef is absolutely terrific, both knowledgeable and creative. The staff is friendly, quick, and always remembers your face. Try the dessert sampler!
