Not a local, traveling for work. Showed up 30 minutes till close, sat at the bar since I was dining alone, asked the bartender for a recommendation seeing as it was near closing time. She said babe you still got 30 minutes order whatever you want. Food was great as well as the staff. Will definitely be back.
We love this place! It was great as always! Oysters on the half shell. Stuffed mushrooms. The Ponchatrain (sp?). Fettuccine by the sea! All so amazing!
Service was amazing. I would give it 6 stars for above and beyond. Food was great!
Great food! Everything is well seasoned, hot and fresh. Service needs some work though. We didn't get our bread and silverware and waiter wasn't interested in us at all. Alfredo had like minimum crab meat in it, even if it says it should have crab and shrimp.
I'm glad we chose to have dinner at Ralph & Kacoo's tonight. The staff & manager were all very kind & attentive. The mood in the restaurant was happy and light feeling. We ordered the Fifty Shades of Grey frozen drink to start off with. Very good drink. We both ordered the Ralph's Special. This plate has almost everything seafood in it plus gumbo. Everything was cooked to perfection. We'll def be going back. Crawfish is next. I peeked at another tables tray as it walked by & my mouth was watering'. If you haven't been to Ralph & Kacoo's- You & your family and friends need to go!!!
We went for the first time on Father's day. Seated promptly and our waitress was not the best server we have had but she did take care of us. Just a little slow. No real complaint though.
All the food was served hot and tasted great. My daughter said the lettuce in her chicken salad was not fresh but the amount of chicken was crazy.
I had the Ruby which is a snapper filet covered in the Voodoo sauce and it was wonderful.
We will go back.
Food was really good. The service is hit or miss. Once someone is taking care of you, you're good. But if it's a slow day you might walk in and wonder if you're supposed to wait for a hostess or go sit down or what. Cause there's no one there to greet u. There is a simple good sized bar. The bartender is nice.
Exceptionally good food and great, friendly service. My wife ordered 1/2 slab BBQ and she was extremely happy with not just the taste but the portion size she received. Also, the extras that came with it... the cole slaw and the potatoes. I ordered Oysters Diablo (super yummy with a slight spicy taste to it) and seafood gumbo. The gumbo base was wonderfully seasoned and they kindly put the rice to the side so I could give it to my wife.
If the want to complete your dinner happily, ask to be seated in Miranda's section!
The Savage Melon Margarita is really good. Shrimp was pretty good, wasn't a big fan of the grits. Flourless chocolate cake is amazing. Has a bar area multiple margaritas flavors, nice atmosphere.
Lunched here today. Great atmosphere; friendly, attentive waitress. Nice selection of foods on the menu, the lunch menu had a lot of options at reasonable prices. Food came out fast. A Must Order: Boudain Balls appetizer, best boudain we've ever had. Onion Rings: Very large, deeply crunchy coated. A must mix-in with your ranch dipping sauce: The Ralph & Kacoo's Garlic Sauce and/or Mild Hot Sauce (bottles are on your table). Lunch tacos--got 1 shrimp, 1 fish, both grilled--just right. Plan on going back for another meal and adding some cold beers to our experience.
The crawfish were cooked just right and seasoned perfectly. We've been searching for great tasting crawfish in the area. Finally found it! They were decent size with a mixture of large and small which is expected right now though. The bartender makes killer margarita's too (I forgot to get a photo of them). We'll be back!!
Excellant food, very nice folks. Cajun, seafood, steaks. My wife likes the satin pie. Tuesday night is not crowded, we got a table by the fireplace. So nice and relaxing!
Excellent! If you want real cajun Gulf Coast Seafood, best place in town. Knew they were Gulf Coast legit when I sat down and noticed rice in the salt shaker.
Clean atmosphere. Smells descent. Inviting. Comfortable.
Had the Taste of Louisiana - the shrimp a lil dry. Gator lil salty. And the crayfish was good. The Shrimp St. Charles was good. Haven't eaten resteraunt food in a while so the taste is different. Overall, I'd give it a 4.5 Star. Will be back. And Ms. Ciara the waitress was amazing in all aspects.
