The lunch buffet at India Grill is always excellent and the naan is always fresh. The restaurant has a quiet atmosphere and the service is fantastic.
Terrific food, lovingly prepared. These folks are great. Best Chicken Curry ever, even on the lunch buffet, the food was fresh and the chicken especially tender. The Chickpea Stew was amazing..the naan plentiful and everything was great. I am coming back for a dinner to try the Tikka Masala and samosas. What a treat!
Best Indian food in Bham. They have an inexpensive lunch buffet and huge variety of menu items for dinner. It's a treat to grab a plate and samosas at the farmers market on Saturdays. Owners are good people as well.
I work next door to India Grill and love to pick up lunch there. It's also a great place to go for a quiet dinner. The owners are friendly and the food is tasty, especially the chicken tikka masala and vegetable dishes.
Bellingham India Grill has many tasty authentic dishes. If your looking for a little spice, I highly recommend starting out with their fresh baked garlic Nan bread. If your on a budget and going the economical route, check out their lunch buffet for only $7.95. It's hard to find decent Indian cuisine in Bellingham, this restaurant will suffice the need. A good place to bring an acquaintance for a nice relaxed meal. Ohh and they have some pretty bomb teas as well.
Had the India Grill $8.95 Lunch Buffet last week and found they are celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year! The buffet offers a nice array of meats, Long Grain Basmati Rice, Raita, Special Dal, Nan and House Salad. The owner, himself, presented us with the freshly made and very delicious Nan bread. It was my husband's first and my second time eating there. He liked their barbecue chicken, rice and Nan. I went with almost everything on the buffet and also find the curried chicken, vegetables and salads are not overly spicy and also enjoyed what my husband was eating. According to their menu, they have have appetizers, soups, salads, Tandoor, seafood, lamb and several vegetarian specialties. It appears they also have take out and a FREE delivery service. If you are looking for a nice, quiet India food atmosphere, then according to the plaques on the wall, this is a very nice multi-award winning restaurant to visit.
Great Indian food in Bellingham's downtown.
Enjoyed the Goo fish curry, Chicken biryani, and nan bread. All items were fresh and flavorful. The fish curry was very flavorful added to a side of rice. chicken biryani very flavorful also. All items were served promptly and service was friendly. Will try again!
As a student at WWU, this restaurant is my go-to for great food at a budget price. I found out about this place from their lunch stand on campus. The food superseded my expectations, and at 5-6$ per meal and a buck for samosas, I go back to the stand and the restaurant on a regular basis. If you're in Bellingham you should go give it a taste for yourself!
Quick affordable lunch buffet. I enjoy a variety of spicy foods. I stopped in to checkout the buffet at India Grill Restaurant.
My favorite is the Curry Pork and mixed veggies. They have a variety of menu items for everyone to choose from. Great place for a vegetarian, many veggie dish choices.
I tried the mango latte and what a treat that was, I'm hooked.
Great Food and Experience. I've lived in Bellingham for quite some time now (close to 11 years) and I've been to India Grill numerous times throughout the years. I've always enjoyed the food as well as the experience. I know for a fact that it was voted best Indian food in Bellingham in 2013. I dont normally write reviews but I was surprised by the ruthless attitude of many of these reviews. India Grill is (for the most part) family owned and operated, a rare sight in downtown Bellingham.
The food is delicious and authentic. I would highly recommend the Chiken Tikka Masala or the Vindaloo if your into spicy foods. My wife is a vegetarian and gets the saag paneer or the vegetable korma.
Personally I enjoy the fact that India Grill doesn't rely on posh decor and stereotypes to draw in customers. The truth is in the food and you never really know until you try it.
They've got a good selection of vegetarian food, it's not the most amazing food but their lunch buffet makes it easier to try new things, and it's a comfortable setting.
