Very good food. Always consistently delicious and high quality. Love the selection of meals! It can be a little “pricey” (term used loosely) if you’re looking for something less expensive, maybe $12-$15 for a sandwich but it’s not too bad. Shown in the photos are the Italian Sandwich and the Chicken Salad Croissant. Both were delicious. Duck fat fries are amazing (not shown below). I got the tomato slices with salt and pepper as my side, and it was very good.
The servers and atmosphere was very nice. Food doesn’t take too long to come out. There is inside and outside seating, as well as a bar and alcohol/wine selection. Lots of alcohol to choose from. Definitely recommend coming here!
Good eats at the String Bean! I was all ready to go for the cowpig burger until the server mentioned the specials. The coffee-rubbed lamb chops caught my attention and I was not disappointed!
We also had the duck fat fries and the boom boom shrimp as appetizers and both were terrific.
Food portions and flavor were excellent and we had a great time!
Highly recommend!
The food and atmosphere here take center stage and both are excellent. The service and speed can be improved.
We came here for a 7:30 reservation and were seated immediately. The fire table outside was great. The patio and lighting make it feel amazing.
The food took a very long time to arrive. That’s ok since we had appetizers and drinks. My only complaint would be that the server might should have checked in more often for drink refills. Make sure you are prepared to wait for the main courses and order appetizers.
When the food arrived, the table became silent as everyone enjoyed the amazing flavors.
The String Bean is located in downtown Belmont and has been a staple there since 2008. Great apps, “pies”, and drinks.
If you don’t have time to dine-in or want some high quality meat to cook at home, visit the butcher shop located inside.
We will definitely be back the next time we visit Belmont!
This is a cute super cute deli/restaurant. They have fresh meat and wine and other things to purchase inside. As well as a restaurant to enjoy. The service and food it's pretty good too!
The String Bean is a great restaurant if you want really good quality food. Its a little pricey but also affordable depending on what you decide. My only complaint is the hosts are a little rude. But the servers are amazing.
Great dining experience here. The restaurant inside and outside was full for lunch on a Friday which was a good sign. I sat at the bar and enjoyed their eggplant fries as well as the chicken and dumplings. Portions were definitely very large for one person so I had to take some to go. Everything was extremely delicious and you could tell they made it with care. The staff was also very attentive and sweet and helpful.I didn’t know that part of the restaurant also had a butcher shop and a wine shop. I will definitely have to go back to peruse those aisles because most likely I will find things to purchase.
We started with the buffalo chicken dip. Oh, so good and spicy.
What I ordered was sooo delicious. I ordered the chicken and dumpling gnocchi. First of all, the gnocchi which is homemade was the best gnocchi I've ever tried. The brussel sprouts were soft and firm. The sauce had a little kick to it which I loved. You just know that this dish was homemade. I can't complain about the serving size either! It was huge, and I would say it was really 3 serving sizes (that's how many times it took to finish it lol).
I took off a star due to the service. It just took forever to get our drinks. The waitress forgot to bring us an extra sauce. She seemed shy so maybe she's new.
I also had a slight hiccup with payment. They overcharged me but Nate, the manager, looked right into it and fixed the issue. I thank him for being polite and making it a priority so you know they care about their customers.
I would definitely recommend trying the food. It was definitely worth the wait.
