We're not talking about as a food writer, or even an adult. My first restaurant food memories are of this little shack on a triangle in Benton, Arkansas, and I still to this day can't walk into the place without overwhelming nostalgia. When talking about classic eateries in Arkansas, Dale's automatically made my list from the start. I didn't have to research how long it'd been around or whether it'd made the crucial 25 year mark. No, no need at all. I can remember Dale's from before I was tall enough to sit at the table properly.
Everyone that is from Benton just knows that Dale's is the best. They see a white box with that red writing and know exactly what is for breakfast. All of the ladies that work their are sooo sweet too!

YUMMY!. The only thing they could do different is update their building. It is kind of old and run down. BUT that has nothing to do with the fact that they have the best donuts!!

A family favorite for over 30 years. My grown children always want Donuts from DAles when they come home - I've even sent them to a submarine for one son who just had to have them before the sub sailed for 6 months-- an expensive overnight bill that he says was well worth it! Thank you Dale and Joel for all the great donuts!
Incredible... for years.. As a Benton native, it was really a case of "you don't know how good you have it until you don't" moments. I realized at my last conference that I am really spoiled for donuts. I had a few different kinds of donuts made by several different places and i thought "What is wrong with these people?!" Dale's makes the best donuts in Arkansas. The store is old, shabby, tiny and has next to no parking, but at 5 or 6 in the morning, the smell can carry for miles. I have walked to get them and been happy as a clam for the two mile trek. They are that good.

The sausage rolls are incredible--a sausage link wrapped in a biscuit. The doughnuts are tremendously dense: more than 33% fancy. Buy it here and enjoy it.

Unfortunately,the lady who was working at the counter must have been having a bad day (@5:00AM) because she wasn't very friendly, verging on rude to be honest. Otherwise I would have rated 5stars.
Fresh soft donuts and give a high five to the donut man Tim who makes the donuts all night long for the past years for Dale's. A personal friend Tim is wonderful and makes the best donuts in this town of Benton. Stop at Dale's if you want fresh melt in your mouth donuts.
Today was my first visit to Dale's. I had to park down the road and walk to the location. I must say it was worth the walk. Excellent service, excellent food. There were at least 8 people in line ahead of me and I was truly disappointed in seeing not one person in line ahead of me put money in the ladies tip jar. The young lady who waited on me was in shock that I told her to keep the change. PEOPLE PLEASE TIP THESE HARD WORKING FRIENDLY STAFF
