Everything was fantastic! The antipastas, main courses and desserts were delicious.
One of the best meals Italian meals I have ever eaten. The flavors exploded like a symphony in my mouth! (Ehler's Winery winemaker dinner)
We need a Riva Cucina fix at least a couple times a month. We look forward to the food and several of the staff, who couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. We are pescatarians and the soups (OMG, I could live on their soup), salads, veggie and fish dishes are always bright and fresh (oh and did we mention how great some of the staff is?). We often order more than we can eat, knowing we'll enjoy it later in the week. When the weather is nice, the outside patio is tranquil and lovely (ok, we do wish they'd really use those space heaters that are scattered around on some days...). The other tip is this is an out of the way location: parking easy, quiet and although we've been going for years...still feels like a 'find'...
Great Italian gourmet food!!! Congratulations to the chef
Very delicious and a vegetarian friendly restaurant.
Great food and service! Used trip advisor for suggestions and they are never wrong!
I loved this restaurant! They helped make our anniversary a wonderful day!
Must still be a secret.... Found this little restaurant while looking for somewhere to go for our mother-daughter dinner one evening. Hidden down a side street in an area of warehouses, you can easily miss it. We got there early, on a Tuesday, and were seated without a wait or a reservation. I'll say this up front. After this dinner, I can honestly say I felt for the first time in a long time like I had eaten like a normal person. Not only were they very accommodating with my gluten allergy, they make gluten-free pasta, RIGHT THERE! to substitute with most of their pasta items. Our server was helpful suggesting wine pairings as well, picking a perfect white wine to go with the daughter's whole seabass dish. We finished off with a wonderful dark chocolate dessert, not too sweet and again, gluten-free. For someone who loves Italian food but usually has to settle for less than ideal, this was a real treat...
Wow. WOW! Came here after seeing the reviews on Urbanspoon, and was NOT disappointed! Fantastic food, reasonably priced, great service start to finish. Will totally be back.
This place is a hidden gem. I like to keep down low but with great food, nice ambiance, and great wines; it is hard to keep a secret. Love every dishes on the menu. And their desserts are worth trying- make sure you save some room for dessert!
Went with three cal water polo players and aye everything on the menu food was very true to description washed down with a 03.Barolo service attentive and friendly Worth a visit
What a perfect place!. Perfect ambiance, perfect wine, perfect service then to top it all off four perfect meals. My parents are in town and we wanted to find a simple meal close to Ironworks Gym. I located this place via Urbanspoon. It was previously unknown to me and WOW. What a gem. Thoughtfully and excellently prepared from appetizers to dessert. My father who loves sea scallops said they were the best he has ever had! The menu changes every night. It was a rare warm balmy night, outdoor seating was available. We are so lucky to have these special restaurant discoveries. Go and go often so they stick around!

Situated way out in a business park in southwest Berkeley, this contemporary Italian restaurant operates inside a vintage brick building. It has high ceilings, polished wood floors, and heavy drapes dividing the space into two rooms, and an outdoor area is inviting in good weather. Try the eggplant or housemade Italian sausage panino, the excellent execution of pasta al nero (squid-ink pasta topped with squid, scallops, and prawns), or the delicious tagliatelle Bolognese with traditional pork-beef-tomato ragu, and save room for the heavenly panna cotta. Service is attentive. More things to do in Berkeley. image c2013 Carole Terwilliger Meyers No comments: Post a Comment
