Mixed grains rice in the hot stone bowl with spare ribs and the spicy tofu soup with beef are my go-to orders here. doubt one can go wrong with anything ordered here if you like Korean foods.
I do love my Korean food. Spoon has always sat sort of to the side of Ashby as one heads to Highway 80 in Berkeley, and my interest finally got the better of me--much to my benefit. It's classic Korean; filling and stick-to-your-ribs fare. I always judge a Korean place by it's bulgogi, and Spoon's bulgogi is superior. They give you the full set of sides, including two versions of kimchi. It's a nice and clean place; very airy given the location. Highly recommended.
First time we went there, the food is good, the spicy pork is a bit dry but tasty still. The service is real good. Friendly, will go there again definitely.
ALWAYS, good quality, delicious food! Excellent, fast service. Friendly, accommodating staff. NEVER disappointed! HIGHLY recommended!

Quick meal Korean style. Cheap eats. Very taste! Parking is at a premium, but well worth it!
A lot of food for the money, all of it tasty. A great value for a good meal.
I especially like their savory pancakes (except the mungbean pancake), and their enormous bowls of soups and stews.
Me encanta la comida de ese lugar............ Riquisimo no puede uno dejar de ir
Best jook ever, fantastic service, and $1 honeydew popsicles. Mashiso.
Fast, GREAT service, tasty, wallet friendly...
Sorry guys and gals, I know " Crash Landing on You" is like one of the best Korean shows ever made right? I simply can't get into watching it! Maybe it's too "cheesy"?
However, I'm always up to eating some cheesy corn and a hot bowl of kim chi stew!
Spoon is a great spot in Berkeley for some casual Korean food. Good soups to warm the tummy and the soul. Order some deep fried wings and wash it down with bottle of Terra beer! Lots of patio sitting and indoor sitting as well that's great for the warmer days we've been having.
The food here was flavorful and delectable! The ambiance was also nice. We sat outside, under the olive trees and lights with our dog Rosie. So for all you dog friendly peeps this place is for you. Family friendly but we also had amazing adult beverages. She had the unfiltered Saki and I the Asahi. We’ll be back and you should too! Cheers 🍻
So I was out at work with some colleagues in Emeryville and they said they were hungry. I knew just the place! Spoon is an amazing place that once you know about you will tell everyone they need to try it. The food and service are amazing. They prices are so good that my colleague got some to go for dinner. If you are looking for a spot that takes it to the next level this is it.
First time here definitely satisfied our itch for tasty Korean eats. The spicy pork belly was fantastic, and an unexpected treat was the Job’s Tears tea with almond and barley. Trust me: it’s light, sweet, and a lovely beverage experience.
To say Spoon is delicious would be an understatement. Simple review, go here and eat. Nice outdoor patio area too. Great staff. Why are you still reading this review? Go eat some Spoon!
