More than a indoor taco stand. I go thirtiy-ish minutes, too and fro, for those crispy beef tacos. The place is very simple and leans towards a taqueria. The food is real and fresh. Great salsa and chips. I fly without rice and rock a whole sea of re-beans. Bring an empty stomach and a burning desire for killer tacos.
Very good Mexican food. My Girlfriend and I went here on a Friday afternoon. The setting is casual and the service was great. The food came out promptly after ordering. The tacos are fresh, cheap and just the right amount of food for lunch. We both left happy and full. We were excited to find an authentic Mexican place so close to where we live.
We've lived in Berkeley for a year and have been underwhelmed with the Mexican food. That is no longer the case. What a great spot for affordable, delicious, Mexican food. Filled up on a chicken flauta and unbelievable carne azada fajitas. We will frequent Fraustos!
I walked in and asked to fill my water bottle up and the owner pulled a cold pitcher from the fridge. I didn’t even buy anything. What a nice, thoughtful, guy. Tomorrow I’m paying back as a paying customer.
