Excellent food great service I will return here if ever in this area again. I ate the fried gator , red beans and rice and their award winning ultimate gumbo. Yummmmy!!!!!
Talipia was big pieces and batter great. Yummy gumbo available as a side item. Great hushpuppies and extra yummy house shrimp with just a touch of cornmeal
If you haven't tried Boateng's Ultimate Gumbo, you are missing out! All the seafood we have tried has been absolutely delicious! I recommend everyone try it, you will be back!
Been there a few times. I always love it but wife doesn't. (She's from Illinois) Fried grouper fantastic as are fried green tomatoes. Every thing I've ordered has been great. Wife don't like pasta & Friday they were out of mashed potatoes & baked potatoes. Fries were not edible. Her fried shrimp were very good though. They have many sides to choose from, just not potatoes. As far as Bessemer choices go it's well worth a try. If you go on Friday or Saturday night expect a 30 minute wait. Two words: Grouper & Tomatoes!
Passing through from Texas, looking for some good southern food.This place had an Old time feel. We had the catfish, chicken-sausage gumbo,mac and cheese, okra....Great food, awesome customer service, mac and cheese was old school greatness! Taste as if were made from scratch! Definitely would recommend. Prices are reasonable.🙂
