This has become my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Their salsa is always consistently good. Their chicken burrito with red sauce is my favorite. I had family from out of town here and everyone loved the food and the environment. They said the margaritas were delicious also.
They're the best Mexican food available in McCalla. If you're looking for high quality or authentic cuisine, definitely make the drive into Bham.
Salsa is basically tomato sauce puree - not good but you can get great chili based "spicy salsa" if you ask for it.
Service is dependably good 👍
Foods pretty good, service was good. I like that you can get margaritas by the pitcher and they let us sit on the patio with my puppy and brought water for him. I loved it.
Good food. I love mexicans and this place is full of them. i was so excited to eat here. The service was very fast and they are very nice people. i will eat here everyday from now on.
About 4 out if 5 times, we have a good experience here. That's not a bad ratio considering we don't eat there that often. Only once do I remember the food and service being lousy but most of the time, everything is excellent, food and service. No place is perfect but this one gets it right a lot more often than they get it wrong.
Food was good , salsa was average, service wasn't that great
But happy hour serves great Margaritas for $3.99 between to afternoon and five afternoon good deal, along with fantastic food and wonderful service the ambiance is comfort
Food was awesome my first time at this Habaneros good customer service
This is our go-to Mexican place to dine in. Service is quick. Food is cooked fast and fresh. The Choriburrito is excellent and the churros are so yum.
I like the atmosphere in the restaurant and the waiters are quick. I usually order the same thing ever time I go. It's the fajita Taco salad. This time I ordered all of the meats (chicken, steak and shrimp) whereas I usually order steak or chicken. This time, the chicken was a very small portion and the steak was a little tough, but there were plenty of shrimp. It wasn't worth complaining about, so I just ate it. I think I will go back to the chicken because it was seasoned well. Also, it was a night they were crowded--Friday. But it will stay on my list of regular restaurants.
I came here at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon in Aug 2019. There were 7 tables occupied. I had excellent, friendly service. Tea and salsa were both refilled promptly without even asking. I had the Camerones al Diablo, Shrimp of the Devil, which was supposed to be very spicy hot. It had a little heat, but did not burn my mouth. It had excellent flavor. I'm not a fan of Spanish rice as most places it tastes like it is 3 days old. NOT HERE! It was fresh and very good. I also ordered a side of guacamole. It was very good, but I would have preferred more cilantro in it. I did not have the problems that a few patrons had had listed in the reviews as far as service. Yes, it is a little dark in there, but I sat next to a window in full sunlight, so I had no problem. Restroom was clean.
