I went about 11a.m. on a Saturday and I had no problem finding a seat by the window. I had a burger and fries that were very good. I saw other people getting breakfast and I have to admit I will be trying that next! This was a fun experience!
This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. Pancakes, cinnamon rolls, sandwiches--they're all good. Plus the location is so unique--seeing small aircraft take off and land while you eat! I only wish they were open in the evening.
My Little "Hideaway". One of my favorite "little unknowns". Lunch and breakfast are fine and dandy....they should really do dinner/upscale. Cool atmosphere.
Great place to have good food while airplanes and copters land/takeoff.
It is pretty good overall moderate food my siblings enjoy seeing the planes take off we go there quite regularly I suggest omelette or Oreo pancakes
Third Time Was a Charm. This place is now on the right flight path. The asian owner has lightened up,become much more customer focused. Breakfast food has improved greatly .
Very nice for a change - super cool to watch the small aircraft come & go.
Excellent coffee.
I had breakfast there for the first time today. I would have to say that was the best breakfast I have had in a while!! The pancakes tasted like gradmas's!! The sausage party was even good and not the same as the others. I will return next weekend with the 7 yr old niece and the verdict will be out!! If your experience was like mine it's worth the drive!!
Open 0700-1500 except Monday's (open 0800 Sundays). I wish they really were open for dinner.

Food was alright...not great not bad...will try the breakfast next time see if that is better. Seeing the planes and helicopters land is great though!
Best pancakes on the planet! We have never had a bad meal here, or bad service. It's easy to get in and out. It's the perfect spot to grab some breakfast on the weekend. And don't forget to grab a mint on the way out...even they are good!
Breakfast Good. Great view of the runway and all across the airport to Council Road.
Understand that he's open on weekends and has a killer lunch after church on Sundays. I'll have to try that eventually.
The service was good and fast. Food was as good as any breakfast I've had and the owner and his wife are nice people.
Nice little place. Decent breakfast. The baked omelettes are unique and good. The service is always very good too. I like the experience of sitting next to a runway. Overall Annie Okies is a nice place to have breakfast.
You can't go wrong at Annie Okie's!. I have eaten at Annie Okie's about once a year for 8 years. It has been consistently good, although a bit pricey. But the ability to eat a good meal, drink a good cup of joe, and watch planes land and take off on the Wiley Post runway - man, that's a pretty good deal. Great breakfasts, especially the omelettes. Great selection and friendly waitresses. Four stars!
Worth the drive. We drive all the way from Midwest City to eat here!
Baked Omelette. What a breakfast hole-in-the-wall should be... simple, good food with the perk of watching planes land & take off. The baked omelette is yummy!!!!
Great atmosphere. Medium to better food, good comfort food. The atmosphere is why I go back, you're right out there close to the runway, not a whole lot of traffic but you're close anyway. The staff is great. Good prices.
Fly Me Away To Runway. There's something inherently good about community airports and restaurants. I've never had a bad meal at a restaurant that was located at a community airport.
I had heard about this place for years and finally ate at the Runway on a leisurely July 4th day. They have a bit of everything on the menu, but the Hawaiian omelette was screaming at me off the page, particularly because the menu featured baked omelettes, a taste I had never had.
The Hawaiian came with ham, bacon, pineapple, and pico de gallo baked right in. I was a little leery about a baked omelette, but it was fluffy and good.
The omelette came with your choice of biscuit and gravy or toast and jelly and I went with the biscuit. I was very satisfied with my choice since it was homemade and so light I thought it was going to fly off my plate. The old fashioned sausage gravy tasted like it was supposed to and added to my pleasure.
I also ate a big portion of the Monster Cinnamon Roll and it too was one of the best pastries I've ever had. It was huge with loads of cinnamon and a frosting that looked like it belonged in a food magazine photograph. The pastries here are awesome and homemade.
You can enjoy your dining by watching planes take off and land since half of the restaurant has floor to ceiling windows. The rest of the cafe is decorated in an aviation motif with memorabilia, plane art, and a magazine rack with aviation magazines that you can peruse while you dine. The facility was neat and clean. The wait staff was attentive without being pushy.
I've driven by this place for years. I feel kind of foolish for never stopping until now. The Runway Cafe definitely lives up to its reputation.
With a view of planes taking off or landing, The Runway Cafe is a neat place to catch a bite. The waitstaff seemed to know a lot of the people dining around us, so this must be a place for regulars and I hope to become one. I tried one of the "monster" cinnamon rolls and a previous reviewer was right--order one to share! Good eats for pretty cheap. I'll be back.
Love the Omlettes & Atmosphere. We have eaten at Runway Cafe twice and have had some exceptional omelettes. Light, fluffy and flavorful. The kids enjoyed the pancakes well enough but there's no question that the highlight of eating here is the view of the small airplanes. We had a vintage WWII bomber parked out front for one breakfast and the pilot/owner invited us inside for a tour after we ate. A great, unique all-around experience.
This place is amazing!! My dad used to be the manager of the airport and we went their all the time iits so good
Great place to start the day. The monster cinnamon roll should be shared for your own good.
Great Omelette. They bake their omelettes for a "unique taste & texture." This a great place for kids since you can sit by the full length windows and watch the jets & private planes take off and land.
The place did not look like a typical restaurant, but it was very inviting. It has a low key atmosphere that I enjoyed. I had the Hinden Burger. Very good. The fries were nice and thick. This is a great place for lunch and I will have to come back for breakfast.
Great little local cafe! The waitress was amazing and the order came out just right. This is our new favorite breakfast spot! Try the omelettes. They're baked so they are light and fluffy.
My omelette was delicious, our waitress provided great service. It is not a huge menu, but so far what I have try is awesome. Fairly priced, if I have to compare is like paying for a breakfast at IHOP. The fact that you can see the plains is another plus for this place...
Good home cooked food. Excellent change of pace. You can hear each other during your conversation. PLUS, you can see the menu with current lighting. No need to take out a loan to pay the ticket. Most households can afford this.
Okay peeps so listen. If you’re after fine dining this is not for you. However, if you’re after friendly service, a crazy unique location, and the nostalgia of a classic diner this is it.
The food is what you would expect from a mom and pop diner. Sometimes you just need a greasy spoon, some hash browns, and some classic gravy slapped on top of a biscuit. The pricing is appropriate for the food. I have and will come back for the breakfast.
Okay, the location. It’s right on the runway!!! It’s a blast to watch the planes come in and out. You can walk outside and watch from the patio too! Super kid friendly. Every time we’ve been except once we saw planes.
**Insider Tip** If you have young kids go outside and wave at the planes landing. Try and get the pilots attention. A lot of flying lessons occur at the airport and they might just land next to you, walk you out on the tarmac, and let the kids come and see inside the plane.
It was a nice setting, views of airplane activity and small enough to be cozy. The food was good but it took nearly an hour to receive it when everyone around us-had received, eaten and left by the time our food arrived. During that time our waitress didn't return to refill our drinks or let us know the status of our order. Once the food arrived, my omelet came with hash browns, not grits-as ordered, white buttered toast instead of dry wheat and the veggie omelet came with some incorrect selections. So your experience will be improved with a good waitress. Ours was unfriendly-no smiles nor apologies.
Met kids here for day after Christmas brunch. Veggie omelette was fluffy but bacon was not crispy and hashbrowns were not well done as requested. Service was good and the aircraft activity was interesting. Enjoyable venue plus good service.
Will probably visit again, maybe a lunch or dinner.
