Cozy restaurant with a great ambiance inside of the @Hyatt Regency Bethesda. Cocktails are good, personnel is always attentive, the food is good! Highly recommended! Their happy hour lasts until 7 pm which makes it perfect spot to hang out after the long day at work!
I took my mom here for her dinner birthday, and she LOVED every moment! The staff were friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. The steak (particularly the cajun ribeye) was outstanding. The atmosphere was calming and fun. This Morton's was conveniently located within the Hyatt Regency, where we stayed, which was another plus! I would highly recommend it and will definitely be on the lookout for a Morton's in the future! Thank you!
Came here recently for dinner twice—wow hadn’t been here in years and it was better than I remembered! Food was delicious and the service was great!
HIGHLY recommend the Prime Bone-In Ribeye or the Prime Cajun Ribeye —the steaks are tender and well-flavored—although I would also suggest getting the Black Truffle Butter as an addition! For appetizers, the Iceberg Wedge, Maine Lobster Ravioli and Bacon Wrapped Sea Scallops are good! Wasn’t a huge fan on the Truffled Mashed Cauliflower, it was a bit dry. For dessert, I was disappointed to hear that they took the carrot cake off their menu, it was my favorite!
Parking wise, if you valet ($38) with the Hyatt, Morton doesn’t validate parking. There is a parking garage below for $8–but I’m not sure I would want to park there alone at night.
I chose Morton's The Steakhouse to celebrate my husband's birthday. And, I am so very glad that I did. Everything was exceptional. Our servers, Jason and Neil, did not disappoint. They were very attentive, professional and friendly. Our meals were very well seasoned and the portions were more than enough. We were extremely pleased with this dining experience. Thank you, thank you for this most pleasurable experience. We will be back.
I dined at Morton's Steakhouse with my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day and had an amazing experience, largely thanks to our
waiter Bobby. From the moment we arrived, Bobby made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant. He was attentive, polite, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu.
Our steaks were not cooked to our preference, but Bobby and manager Steve went above and beyond to make it up to us. They were apologetic and quick to fix the issue, and Bobby's exceptional service throughout the rest of our meal made up for any initial disappointment.
Despite the hiccup with our food, our overall experience at Morton's was fantastic. The quality of the food was top-notch, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant and sophisticated. But what really made the experience stand out was Bobby's exceptional service. He was incredibly hardworking and dedicated to ensuring that we had a memorable dining experience.
I cannot speak highly enough of Bobby and the service he provided us. His attentiveness, knowledge, and professionalism were truly outstanding. He is a true asset to the restaurant, and I would highly recommend Morton's Steakhouse to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.
Overall, I would rate Morton's Steakhouse five stars for the quality of the food, the elegant atmosphere, and most importantly, the exceptional service provided by Bobby. Despite the initial issue with our food, we left the restaurant feeling extremely satisfied, and that was mostly thanks to Bobby's excellent service.
A classic steakhouse feel with an equally nice bar section - been here multiple times at my stay in the Hyatt and have received top notch service with care that is hard to find.
The food speaks for itself, with delicious and top tier choices. I took the server's suggestion at the prime rib sliders and onion rings, pairing with a perfectly balanced old fashion. Highly recommend spending the extra $$ here.
I would give this place a 5 stars but the parking garage they share with the hotel is ridiculous. They should have made the ceiling higher. As we drove through slowly (hitting all the dangling signs) we saw a lot of marks on the ceiling from vehicles that have hit it. Even their piping is too low. Definitely not a great design choice in my opinion (and pretty much everyone else’s who dined with us that night). Other than that, the staff was very professional and the food was amazing! I definitely recommend this restaurant. I would just suggest parking elsewhere unless you have a small car (not anything bigger than a car).
The bartender, "Amit," was so kind, full of passion, and customer service that encompasses hospitality. The Lavender Cosmo was made with love and thoughtfulness. The drink was delightful, but the service and atmosphere fulfilled my heart. 30 years of experience, shows in his light-hearted nature and easy flick of the wrist as he shakes the simple recipe. Rebecca was the other bartender and she was beyond kind, helpful, and passionate as well. The team behind the bar belongs on a stage. I wish I was a local so that I could visit every evening.
Food was incredible. We had a birthday dinner here. Very very very pricey. But everything was phenomenal. Corkage fee was 50 so we decided against it. Just had cocktails and a bottle there. The mozzarella prosciutto appetizer was the only thing we didn’t like at all. The truffle fries were amazing and the steaks were cooked perfect. Great place with a group if you’re willing to spend the money.
Celebration of an early birthday and going away dinner.
Note: this was about a month ago so parking might have changed.
Parking:
Valet is $25
Self parking varies. The elevator that runs up to the hotel didn’t work. There was a sign to walk towards the office elevator and got lost. Ended up walking in circles and being late for our 8:30 reservation.
There was a few other tables dining. I definitely arrived very hungry. Hosts and service was up to par. The complementary bread was brought out crisp on the outside, warm and soft in the inside which melted my tastebuds. Appetizers, main course and desserts were phenomenal. **descriptions of items are copied from Morton’s website** My only complaint is my filet (requested to be cooked medium) half of it was medium rare.
Vihossi (server) was attentive to the smallest detail items. When my soda was a 3/4 finished he asked if I wanted a refill. Checked back within 5 minutes of every entree. We were the last table of the evening and he was so sincere and respectful without feeling rushed. This is why I gave 5 stars despite of my steak. The customer service override the one little setback. Thank you!
Couldn't have been better! Went to celebrate a friend's birthday. We all ordered filets, salads, 2 sides and 2 desserts. The sides are family style and sharable. They had no problems splitting the salads and desserts so we could all share and and try different things. We got a free dessert for my friend's birthday. They were happy to pack up our leftovers as well.
The service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable and super responsive. My cocktail was delicious and exactly how I like it. The manager came by to check on us as well. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely return.
The food was good, but our server is what really put it over the top! She was incredible, even though she was new to serving here you'd never know!
Food was decent and the customer service was great. The only con was that my steak (well done) tasted a little burnt, but overall still a great meal. Really pricey but I feel you are paying for the experience.
It has been since before the pandemic that we did happy hour—"Power Hour" in Morton's parlance—in their delightful saloon.
We were delighted to find John still behind the bar and still making sitting at the bar the best way to enjoy Morton's. His cocktails are wonderful and his attitude is warm and welcoming.
We're putting Morton's Power Hour back on our calendar as a repeating event.
We came here just for drinks before a show so I can't speak on the food. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was nice. The service was great as well.
Love this place, perfect for special date night, or milestone birthdays .The decor is beautiful very upscale feeling and the staff are wonderful! They even put the name on the menu celebrating their birthday!!! Great detail!
Sorry the pics aren't great, but the food was fantastic! Lamb chops, filet mignon, lobster ravioli, sautéed spinach and mushrooms, truffle butter! I only snapped a pic after eating a bit bc we like to taste our food hot. The bacon wrapped scallops we had as an app were so good! And the hot chocolate molten lava cake with ice cream... 🤤 My hubby had an old fashioned and I tried a black cherry cocktail. Delicious and thank goodness, not so sweet. Rebecca, Rafael and Brian were so attentive and personable. We felt so welcomed. 🥰
