Nice for spicy Thai food. Crowds for this smaller location start around 6pm for dinner. Good service. Refreshing iced coffee or tea. Soups are great. Enjoy.
Good food. My favorite is the pad see ew with beef. This time, I tried and enjoyed the garlic shrimp. Everything I have tried has been good. I will be working my way through the menu. Small restaurant so it can get very busy during meal times.
This time round the tom Yan soup is better . I like the mango sticky rice
The food is delicious, the staff are polite, and the atmosphere has a very familial, homely feel that just keeps bringing me back. I've brought friends and colleagues here and it's always a hit and becomes a new favorite dining spot of theirs in the area! Highly recommend!
Nice place for meeting people. Spicy Basil Fried Rice is tasty. Good price.
I loved my Chicken Pad Thai. I did not have the same experience at a nearby location. I highly recommend THIS location.
This place seemed highly underrated but the food was good. The only thing was that there was only one server so the service was a tad bit slow but still friendly. I would recommend!
I used to love this place when I lived in the area over a decade ago and I was worried about going back. The worry increased when I saw they no longer had the banana leaf wrapped, steamed whole fish on the menu.
It didn't matter. It was delicious.
I ordered the pork belly with broccoli, beef oanang curry, chicken satay, and the wings. All of it was super tasty. Especially the pork belly, wow!
Quiet Thai food oasis in Montgomery Mall. I ordered spicy calamari, fried tofu triangles, green papaya salad, and "deep sea", which is a seafood yellow curry dish. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is tucked away in a corner of Montgomery Mall, and is a wonderful quiet oasis compared to the chaos that is the mall food court. After eating here, I had the energy and great frame of mind for a successful shopping trip!
The food here is exceptional, some of the best Thai in the area, but Beware of the prices on the specials. They are not listed and while all the curry dishes and the noodle dishes were all exceptional, the soft shell crab was $40, which surprised us
We love Thai food and order a carry out at least once a week. This Tara Thai is pretty good. Well, at least the standard dishes we usually get (fried rice, Panang curry, spicy eggplant with basil, tom yum soup) Their curries used to be "watery" without enough protein, but its amount has been increasing lately, so we are happy. Besides its convenient location, we prefer this restaurant to the other Tara in Rockville, Thai Cuisine and Thai Pavilion, also in Rockville.
We order from here often and dine at the restaurant occasionally. The food and service have both been consistently great. Green curry and papaya salad are two of my favorites.
