This place is great. The food, drink and entertainment are first rate. Since the Zoo Bar banged up I've been looking for a new place to hang. I believe I've found it at Villain & Saint.

A spectacular place, friendly and energetic bar guys, good sound guy running great PA and iPad driven EQ, wonderful and lively audience, great music. Villain & Saint is a place I will return to play a gig sometime, but I'd also return just for the food and music from some other local artists or comedians. 5-stars!

Villain and Saint is a great bar. I've been there on multiple occasions for Open Mic nights and can think of nothing negative to say. Bartenders are knowledgeable mixologists, the wait staff is courteous and on-point and the live music is usually entertaining (depending on the talent that comes in to play). Highly recommended venue.

Huge shout out to Sean, the manager, and the whole team at Villain & Saint. We had my husband's 50th surprise birthday party there, and it couldn't have been more perfect. They were easy to work with from day one, the staff was super and kind and helpful on the day of, and the space was just the right size and set up. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to hold an event with a live band.

Great place to see live music, socialize, drink and eat! Robert's venue is a true supporter of local live music, and I really appreciate that. Tasy food, as youd expect from a Robert Wiedmaier gastropub. (If you haven't been to his Lock 72 in Potomac, definitely go there asap.) Love the outside bar out back when weather allows. Good sound system for music on their recently enlarged stage. Excellent sound engineers run the PA. Bartenders and waiters are friendly and helpful.

I enjoy going here with a group of friends to hang out, dine and listen to live music. The menu is inventive, with sinfully good and saintly healthy choices. It's great to have a place like Villain and Saint in Bethesda!

Nice place with a great patio. The bands are good, good selection of beers on tap and in bottles. Service is great. It's right next to the Farm Women's Market, and you can park there after 5:00 pm, which is unheard of in Bethesda to park so close! I highly recommend it.

A nice venue. Very clean and attractive. Great design and photos of famous musicians. Great to catch music as it isn't too loud and possible to chat with friends if you like during the performance. Not a listener's venue in that sense. Food is solid and service is good albeit slow at times. Delicious sweet potato fries!!!

I go to V&S frequently. They've got a great environment, friendly staff, and almost every night of they week they have live music. They host a variety of genres and styles, a weekly comedy night and open mic (where drums and bass & guitar amp are provided), and there is even an out door patio with its own bar. The quality of the food is exceptional. They have enough variety at reasonable prices to offer something fresh and new on a regular basis and are almost always running a food and or beverage special of some sort. Visit. You're gonna have a great time!

I had a lot of fun! I went to see In Dog Years, I'm Dead play at this venue. I had the most amazing sweet potato fries! The staff was friendly and humorous! Alvin was one of the best, and I can't remember the other guy who served us, but he was great too! Thank you for an awesome night out!

Non-douchy bar with live music on weekends. The clientele tends towards 30's or 40's (but with twentysomethings too). People here appreciate the band and do dance and don't care about whatever someone might think about the way they dance. Overall peaceful atmosphere. Full bar with many nice cocktails. The outdoor area has its own bar and is perfect for relaxing (and smoking) away from the music.

My band played here, so I must offer some bias. This place has had it's "3's" and "4's" but is now managed by a guy named Chris Brooks. This guy is the real deal. He is smart, funny and will give this his all. He's also a helluva keyboardist/pianist. The bartender is refreshing. She is attentive and fun-loving, exactly what's needed in a bar. Go support a band, you will have some fun and meet some quality folks.

Cool live music and awesome atmosphere! Murals and colored lights make it feel like you're at an actual rock concert. And the food is pretty great too.

If you want to enjoy a nice live band and have some drinks, then this is a good spot. But if you want a nice dinner, I dont think it's a good option. Stuff at Villan & Saint are super friendly and engage with their customers as well.

Went to see a friend's band play. Bar is nice and service is friendly. My only complaint was that I ordered a Chicken quesadilla but it had a lot of bones in it that I had to spit out. Kind of surprising given the reputation of Chef Wiedmaier.

You are going to want to stop here at least once, and if you live around Bethesda you'll want to stop in regukarly. The manager of the bar has some of the best energy for a human being, he really ensures great service and vibes no matter who is playing, and they get some top level talent who nobody knows about yet. The scene is great, stop by for some happy hour after work, or even better plan to swing by in the evening and catch the acts on nights there is live music. Cozy atmosphere, inside and outside settings with bar and tables. Walking distance from metro red line Bethesda stop. Come for the great vibes, and obviously with a name like villain & saint all are welcome as long as we can all agree to eat and drink and dance and sing amiably no matter what team we are on. Blessings homies 🕉️✌️💖⚕️🎼🎶🌍🎵🦁

Solid music venue, okay drinks, but a bit pricey to me. The food is amazing! One of the best grilled cheese I've ever had. 10/10

Not the beer selection of muscle bar (of its day), but still decent. Belgian heavy.
