Absolutely loved our experience at Bistro 218. We had our anniversary dinner there last night and it was the best meal we have had in Birmingham. I would highly recommend this restaurant, food was excellent and service was outstanding!! We had the octopus appetizer and we both wanted scallops and it was delicious. Everything on the menu looked good, it was hard to decide! Loved it all.
We had a late dinner here last night.. and I have to say we all 3 did everything but lick our plates! The food was seasoned to perfection... everything down to the garnishments on each dish were delicious..The waitress was so attending and helpful, service was amazing, atmosphere was amazing... We were the last to leave for the night and they didn't rush us out or seemed annoyed, we took our time, and even talked to staff on the way out, we love the bartender from New York! This is by far my favorite place in Birmingham to dine now! We had scallops, red snapper, flounder, crab cakes, creme brulee, beignets, and topped it off with french press coffee.. 10 stars in my book!
I'm so lucky to live around the corner. It's really easy for me to walk over and claim one of my two favorite tables.
Chef always put a beautiful plate down. Pretty put aside, the food is excellent and the service is outstanding.
The octopus is outstanding. The pork chop is rock star quality and any red meat on the menu is worth consideration.
Just for the record, I really enjoy and highly recommend Chef Tom Saab's Bistro 218.
I love this place. The restaurant and the bar. First I can walk there and the food and service is top notch. We recommend to all our friends.
One of our favorite restaurants. The best gumbo and West Indies salad around. Ask for the Shawtini, a special drink made especially for Jim. Service is always top notch and Tom Saab always comes up with such creative dishes. Local products are used when possible, thus creating tasty and fresh food. Also, great lunch place.
Love this place. We've dinned here on three occasions and the food has always been outstanding. The wine list is more than adequate and can provide quality wines that will complement the menu. Cheers!🍷
The crab cakes are the best . We have never had a bad meal there . The staff is friendly,courteous and knowledgeable.

I took my wife to this quaint restaurant on Restaurant Week ! I love the revitalization of Birmingham. This place has character, the walls, the floor, and the lighting. The service was excellent! The staff was very attentive to our presence ! The staff also were meticulous with the cleanliness of the glassware and silverware. The music was very cultural to a time when music was highly appreciated.
The meal was prepared and plated very nicely. The Bistro Steak was cooked very well as ordered ! My wife had the Blackened Amberjack, it looked delicious, and she said that it was.
Did I mention the Valet parking ? Great care and great service !

This was one of the finest meals I’ve ever had, and I’ve dined in many of the premier restaurants in the United States and Europe. Birmingham is incredibly blessed to have restaurants of this caliber. They say that Birmingham is a culinary destination in its own right, and I believe that Bistro Two Eighteen must be part of that experience.

Was in town from Tucson Arizona. I travel a lot. One of the best meals I have had on the road. Great venue, friendly service, and awesome food. A must if you are in Birmingham!
